Having used both the Deep Silence 1 and Define R5, I must say I prefer the Define R5, although both are excellent.

Help Choose a Good X99 Motherboard

I have an Asus X99-A that I'm a pretty big fan of. Anandtech Review I have a buddy with an MSI X99S Gaming 7 that he likes quite a bit. Of the boards you listed, I would go for the MSI before either of the Gigabytes, due to personal experience.

noctua NF-A15 as case fan?

In my Define R5 I'm using three NF-A14s as intake and they are amazing. However, in your case, you need either 120mm fans or the NF-A15, which will do the job well but is more suitable for the coolers it comes with. For your cases front intake I would recommend the NF-S12A. Noctua claims it...

Is there really a huge difference? I bought a single 8GB stick the other day at Microcenter for a mini-ITX build I'm doing for a family member, but as time has gone by waiting for a few other parts from Amazon its bugging me more and more that the system is (so far) going to be single...

Yes. In a couple of months I will be building a machine for a family member based on Ncase and why not use the latest and greatest? Heck I might build two, my own machine is a little long in the tooth with i5-750.

GTX 460 1GB owners thread.

My EVGA 460 that I had for 2 years just died the other day :( Bought an HIS IceQ 7870 to replace it in that machine, should get it soon. That 460 was an awesome little card while it lasted though, it died after slaving away nonstop in Folding@Home for the past couple of months.

Its only a problem for those who want to overclock right? Why would Intel spend money changing the production process for the relatively few who overclock. The return probably wouldn't justify the cost.

That card wont work. That is a regular PCI card, you need to get a PCI-e variant for your PCI-e slot. Something like this Or, you could use the card you linked, if you use the slot just below your graphics card. That looks like a regular PCI

Seriously idiotic driving behavior stopping in a 55 mph to let traffic on from onramp

Simple solution, really. Switch over to the left lane on the highway when approaching a ramp with traffic. Leave the right lane that they need to get into empty. But slowing down on the highway is yes... dumb.

Do you sometimes lower the resolution to increase the quality?

I always reduce quality before lowering resolution. My GTX460 is still sufficient for my needs at 1080p, when I can no longer play on 'High' settings it is time for a new GPU, not a lower resolution.
