I just picked up a second PC for my family. I though I would get a HP MM PC. Anyway, it's supposed to be a Athlon64 3700+. WCUPID shows it as a 3800+. However, I can run WCUPID and get it to show it's 5x200 for 1000MHz one time, and then the next time it shows at 12X200 for 2400 the next...

I am thinking of uprading to the EVga 5900SE from my Visiontek 4400TI. My only concern is support for DX9 PS2.0 FP. I am debating between the 5900 SE and a used 9700 Pro. The 5900 looks to be the killer deal. I am just worried about the quality support of DX9 functions in the NVidia FX...

Alternatives to Dazzle DVC 80

I am just looking for a simple tool to tranfer my analog camcorder movies to MPEG or AVI. I notice Dazzle only does movies at 320x240. Are there any other comparable products out there that are as reasonably priced as Dazzle? Thanks.

I am trying to burn A CD of my favorite songs from all my CDs. However, my car CD player only plays whatever format normal songs are in. What format is that? I don't want to burn a full CD, I just want to copy my selected songs onto a CD-R, put them into any CD player and have them play...

Money being equal, a 9600 Pro or TI 4400?

Yes, that would be the 9600 Pro at Compusa. I only do FSAA once in a while. I did run Motocross Madness 2 on 4X by accident which looked great. Other than that, I don't run it much. It slowed UT 2003 and Unreal 2 way down so I turned it off.

I know there are other topics on similar subjects, but none dealing with equal money. I can get a Visiontek 9600 Pro for the same price I could sell my Visiontek TI 4400 for. Is it worth the upgrade. Thanks, Lowell

I have got it. I just went out to Altavista and grabbed a CD to MP3 Ripper progam to evaluate. I don't want to do anything fancy. Are there some cheap/free converters out there? Thanks

I am in need of both a DVD drive and a CDRW, I have never upgraded. I know, hard to believe. Anyway, I noticed that they now make a CDRW/DVD combo drives. Multiple companies appear to make them, Samsung, Phillips, etc. Are these any good, or should I buy two separate drives? Thanks

Changing Partition Size without starting over

Silly me thought a 3 GB partion would be big enough for Win XP on my HD. Now I keep getting low disk errors all the time. Can I change the partion size after the fact? Thanks.

is the Athlon XP 1800 overclockable?

I have an AOGIA that I run at XP2000 speed (145/11.5,1667) without increasing the Vcore. I have no need to push it further right now. Only heats up a couple more degrees than the 1800 speed.

On Board Sound of A7V266-E vs. SB Live Value.

I just picked up a used Asus MB and instinctively installed my SB Live card. I am so used to doing without onboard sound that I didn't think I should try it. Has anybody every used the onboard sound of the Asus, and how does it perform in gaming compared to the SB Live? Thanks.

Help, a very hot XP 1800 60 degrees plus.

I've given up. I think it's a false temp after reading around on the Asus MB forums. I was running the UT2003 Demo and I am at 71 degrees, or not. The top of my case feels warm, but not much warmer than when my P3 700 was running at 49 degrees.
