WARM: 24 hour Fitness 2 for 1 Special

since we are on subject of 24 hour fitness... few years ago, I got 6 friends of mine to join 24hr fitness. we were catagorized as family fitness program(or something like it). we paid ~$250 each for enrollment fee, but our monthly fee came to $15 per month per person for all club membership...

(Car Audio) Sound quality with/without amp? -- updated w/ new unit

BigLance is correct in his response. most likely your head unit is the source of your unwanted noise. considering you have an Audiovox... I would say mostly LIKELY. try a new head unit, you can pick up a nice one for fairly cheap these days. and if you had your Linear Amp to a lousy head unit...

Win2k + ME dual boot question (what files needed on C:)??????

you know, I'm not sure. I never tried it. but I guess you can't lose by trying... make sure boot.ini, ntldr and few .sys files are backed up. let me know if you succeed. good luck.

Intel VC820 problems.

hi seaharp, open your windows explorer. go to your c: drive. by default your windows sytem files are hidden. so in explorer, goto view and change the options so you can see all files(including system files). once you have done this you'll see autoexec.bat and config.sys file on c: drive. open...

ok. here are few things. First, make sure you have a win98 boot disk made. so if something goes wrong, you can always boot your system from boot disk and change the autoexec.bat/config.sys back to way it was. the performance/compatibility messages you see are results of dos drivers loading...

Fried pentium anyone

I think u may be screwed...(sorry). I'm not sure how you would test a cpu. even with wrong jumper settings, you should at least get initial boot. maybe you can take the cpu back to your friend and test it on his mobo. good luck

check your config.sys and autoexec.bat in your c: if you are using w98se, you shouldn't need cdrom device loaded in your config.sys and autoexe.bat files. I'm not a win9x user so I won't be a big of help. From what I know, W98se is good about picking up your devices w/o deviced loaded in above...

SMC Barricade Print Server

I have SMC also. my HP Deskjet 855c works great with it. It did take me a while to get it to work though. I had to reinstall the driver few times to get it to work. I also heard few posts about not all printers work with printer function on the SMC. I could be wrong, if so somebody correct me...

Need help buying new video card!!!

here is my 2 cents... you currently have pretty nice card. use it until you reach a point where your games/sw have maxed the ability of your current videocard. then consider purchasing a new one. at that point there will be better and cheaper videocards avail.

How to stop start up programs in Win2k?

start->control panel->admin tools->component services. make sure you have your admin tools visible in task bar. oops, I thought you meant windows services... my bad :(
