HOw to network 2 computer each w/ a wireless card

I set both my desktop and my laptop to adhoc mode. But in the "available wireless network" dialog, I don't see my laptop or desktop's nic. I am a newbie to this, please explain more in details of how can I network 2 computers with wireless card and no router

I have a desktop with a wireless nic, and a laptop with a built-in nic ....I don't have a wireless router. All i want to do is network the 2computers (just like u would with a network cable, but this is wireless) Is it possible? HELP :(

Installing XP in an Laptop

what about partitioning the hdd? How can i partition it before installing winxp? (i just know how to partition it if it is a secondary hdd attached to my desktop computer, but I figure I can't take my hdd out from the laptop)

thankyou for ur replies. I am planning to buy iBook G4 12". I wanna try out a Mac. But I wanna do some programming in C/C++, java, perl, etc. I want to know if there are freewares of those programs for MAC. and also, can I dual boot linux in iBook then THANKs, appreciated.

WinXp ..how to display SECONDS ??

I believe there is a way. My school computers running win2000 has the seconds displayed. So i think winxp is pretty similiar? Also, thinking about the argument in the Time setting you can give: hh:mm:ss If you can't do the "ss" part, why would it let you specify the ss???

WinXp ..how to display SECONDS ??

In the taskbar, lower right. I only have hours and minutes ..and AM/PM shown. I want to see to the seconds as well. How can i do that? In my Time setting dialog..it is already set to "hh:mm:ss tt"...but still,. it won't display the seconds. HELP!!! I am using Winxp

Just a little confused here "You roll an 8,9 sided dice" is it 8 or 9?? I see that P(C) = 6/9, which implies the dice is 9sided. so the dice is 9sided?? But yes, your example look very right. All b/c P(A&B&C) = 0. THank you TuxDave. Before you said "just draw a venn...

i don't get how you find P(C|A n B) = 2/3 ?? I thought P(A n B) = 3/9 = 1/3 ...and... P(A n B n C) = 3/9 = 1/3 so P(C|A n B) = P(A n B n C) / P(A n B) = 1 But let's assume you got P(C|A n B) = 2/3 is correct still.. is greater P(C) = 1/3 , so my conjecture still is true.

I KNOW THEY ARE SIMILAR TRIANGLES when the length AP to PB is minimun. but WHY man??? i have to give a damn reason....or else i won't get the damn mark for it... I thought for it like..for 5hrs...and still...i can't figure out why are the triangles similar when the lenght is minimun....
