you can load the 11 series driver thru the device manager and it gives a big boost to benchmarks on the x79. No doubt about it, they are not even close in performance on either of my x79 mobo's.

From my own experience the 520 is as solid as they come. Just about 4 weeks now without issue. Thrown everything at them and they keep on going.
They are also showing none of the bad characteristics of previous sf controlled drives, none.

Intel is always throwing their own mobo list at the bottom, this is the official raid driver from Intel.
But feel free to wait for something else.
Get great numbers with these drivers, been on them since the middle of Dec.
All the tests show different numbers for same part of a test. If you want to put more emphasis on one test over another that would be up to you.
As SSD will always be a worst case scenario for any SF drive, atto the best case, and all the rest somewhere in between, so take your pick.

No need for all that Bud. Just load defaults in the bios and boot from cd or usb. Update FW on drives and enable raid and good to go. Worked for me no problem.
I am on the x79, I loaded these through the device manager, had to use the x64 file, not the regular installer. Two reboots and all is fine. Been using them for a few days now.
They gave me my write speeds back, which are slowed by the enterprise driver set. My 2 drive ssd R0 is just as fast...
