    My 670 exhibits a faint humming noise under load, not audible with my case closed. Both the 7850 and 7950 I tried had the same issue. Fan noise was so bad on the 670 the humming wasn't audible until I installed my Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II.

    To the original question: they last 1 day beyond whenever your warranty expires. :) That is one good thing regarding aftermarket cooling solutions like the AC TT II. You can buy a replacement fan shroud + fans from their website for $7.

    Yes, very minor "humming" noise only audible with the case door off (Antec Solo II) and my ear near the card (first noticed it last night because the AC TT II is so quiet!). Maybe its just my setup, but I'm convinced you are almost guaranteed some small amount of coil whine from this generation...

    My evga 670 with the blower fan has a fairly loud hum/grind quality to it. Knew this going in given the reviews. Already have Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II in hand (you can get this for ~$40 in the US) but haven't had the time to install it yet.

    I can find anecdotal evidence that both EVGA and ASUS 1) suck or 2) are awesome. EVGA is headquartered in the US and now the warranty follows the card, making it the clear choice assuming you like to sell and upgrade every couple years, imho anyway.

    like i mentioned in the other thread, my sapphire 7850 non-oc ed. would only do 1125 stable up to 1.225 volts stock voltage was 1.210 sending it back and will probably pick up a 670 for a nice price premium, but hey, i'm worth it :)

    yeah check your bios gigabyte board has "init display first" option under "advanced bios features" had mine set to "onboard", switched it to "pcie x16" when I installed my video card worth checking anyway...as always, check your cables too :)

    got my Sapphire 7850 (non OC) edition best it will do is 1125 on the core (that's at stock voltage, but stock voltage is already high as is: 1.210) not great, but not terrible... will probably grab the MSI 7850 instead assuming it comes in stock this week--gotta love no restocking fees at amazon
