Front, rear, side, floor. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2012/02/10/the-big-cooling-investigation/7 I have 3 fans, and the biggest difference I saw was when I added a side intake fan.

Format SSD = Secure Erase?

I used this on my old laptop I sold. http://www.dban.org/ I recommend. You can find reviews. The point of it is that no one can access your old, even if deleted, files.

Sandisk Extreme 120GB vs Intel 330

^^What he said. My 330 booted crazy fast when I installed the OS on it and booted it. But I need more than that. Now it takes 20-30 seconds. But I like to have a lot of things ready to go. I'd still take the Intel over Sandisk any day.

My vote is 7770 over 6850. But I wouldn't go higher than that. At that resolution everything else is overkill. A 660Ti would be a waste of money cuz you'd never see why you paid that much.

What surprised you about using an SSD?

The experience has improved. And I'm not talking about the BS Apple Headache experience. I'm talking about speed. I can do everything faster. Have you ever tried editing photos on a SSD? Boot time is great, but everything is a mouse click release to instant open.

New machine build 2500k vs 3570k

3570K. I bought the 2500k cuz of heat issues, but I don't think it's a detrimental issue. I'd love to switch for the 3570K. Anybody want to trade?

Can I RMA this HDD?

Most stores do exchange within 30 days, or refund in a week. You should be fine if your in that window. My experience is that if it's from a big box store it is easy to exchange, just don't exceed the time limit.

Intel SSDs - 330 vs. 520 series

The Intel 330 120GB can be found for under $100. It will be a huge boost to your system. I have it in my desktop and might add one to my laptop (take out useless DVD drive).

Hyper 212+ issues (high temps)

I have the EVO (which is almost the same) and my temps are in low 30s C. 40s C sounds way too high.

@brandon888. Non-overclocked- 670 is much better. In the future, I hope you and I learned that it is better to plan for overclocking, unless you buy an entry level GPU and have a crappy monitor. I think we can all agree that a 670 is at the top of mid range GPUs, so you'll love your 670.

Any feedback on ASRock Z77 Pro4?

I have the z77 Pro3, and wish I would have bought the Extreme4. Better overclocking and higher quality. As far as SLI/Crossfire...I don't care. Also, I think I should have bought z68 since I bought 2500k. I'm sure I'll want a whole new computer in 3 years anyways.

Budget Gaming/Movie Display, 23-27"; Overwhelmed

Did you consider the Dell U2311H? I've been using it for over a year, and it's been an incredible investment. I play Battlefield, watch movies, and edit photos. Haven't had any issues and I'm sure the price is even more reasonable now.
