In the future, you should have your references lined up before you even go to the interview.
Any kind of negotiation you now do with your prospective employer to 'release your references' would go awkward at best.
You need to give them your references. You need to discover compensation...
I am seriously offended that these cops got off on all of the charges.
The security video where the cop had already chased him down and was putting on gloves while saying he was getting ready to fuck the guy up while the guy was just sitting there would have been pretty damning evidence...
If you go for 3-way SLI, you may want to go up to 570s.
The Radeon 7970 seems like a great card. I've had all Nvidia cards until last week when I went to a pair of 7970s in crossfire. (Seems to be cheaper and faster than a pair of 580s would be.)
I had to search the internet for a bunch of...
I have a 2500k on an Asus p8z68-v gen3 mobo.
The behavior you describe matches what happens on my system if I don't disable the integrated video before plugging in the 7970s. And disabling the IV in BIOS wasn't obvious to me because they hid it by named it something that only seemed to apply...
The cable from the modular PSU to the Mobo fits perfectly. It just doesn't look like it would fit. No extra pressure or modification needed. It just fits fine.
I did overkill on the video cards. But that just means I'll have to buy lots of super-duper games to make sure I get good use out...
I ordered two Sapphires from newegg and should have them in my grubby little hands tonight.
This is the first time I've bought a non-nvidia card and I do expect some driver issues (looking at you skyrim 2560x1600), but I also expect them to get worked out soon.
Ideally, by this weekend:)...
It's been seven years since my last computer and it was time for an upgrade. (Gaming with sweet eye-candy / programming / surfing the internet)
So I have bought the following components.
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler...
I don't mind paying another $50 for 'the best' air cooler that gets my temperatures under load down another 5 degrees C. Looking at a few reviews, it seems to be a very highly recommended part and I'm going for quality. I'm not worried about the $50 right now and if an even better cooler comes...
Thanks for all of the feedback!
I removed the extra $30/8GB of RAM to remove the issue.
Prices below are just what comes up on the partpicker website. The mobo + proc from microcenter seem to come to ~$300 with the $50 off. So I'll save ~$50 from the prices below.
Here's what we're...
Ok, I took some of your recommendations to heart. Looks like I'll save some money:)
Here's my current picture.

I'm currently on an old Dell XPS P4 with an 8800 GTS and it's time to upgrade. (I've had this thing for more than 5 years and I hope to be able to have the next one running for that long.)
Here's what I'm considering. (PCpartpicker website seems helpful.)
