Games you want to buy during steam 2013 summer sale

Half-Life 2 is on sale right now, 75% off (Midweek Madness); it probably won't go any lower than that even during the summer sale. Or get the Half-Life Complete package, which is a pretty good deal, if you don't have all those games already.

Pinball FX2

So I just downloaded Pinball FX and actually like the feel of the free table, Sorcerer's Lair, a lot. Which of the DLC is recommendable? The Empire Strikes Back demo I tried was a bit meh, though it's got some nice, star-warsy sound effects.

Which game have you played the most non-stop?

I guess people are going by the thread title? For me, it's the Civ series, mainly Civ 2. Spent at least one semester at university playing that, and studying in my spare time. :whiste: Hundreds of hours of "just one more turn" ... Good times!

Actually, EVE is better than most MMOs in this regard, since your skills keep training even when you're offline. Also, bonus points for managing to use several incredibly tired clichés about gamers in one post, without blinking an eye... Now back to WoT. :biggrin:

1) No, you won't be penalized in any way. You can have up to three characters on one account, though, so there's no need to delete your old character unless you really don't want it any more. 2) There's lots of ways to earn money without using your ship's guns. Hauling stuff around...

I actually quite liked the MtG: Duels of the Planeswalkers games, despite their limitations, until I bought the latest expansion; now all the cards/decks I had unlocked have somehow become locked again. :(

If you're getting aggro as soon as you come out of warp, here's one thing you could try: Make a bookmark and warp out, then warp to the bookmark at a distance. Might not work if it's a multi-stage mission with several warp gates, though.

I highlighted a few problems with your fitting. Been a while since I last played Eve, but as far as I remember the Vexor should be armor-tanked. Throw out the shield booster, get yourself a Medium Armor Repairer II, a Damage Control II (always a good idea to fit one of those!), 1600mm Rolled...

I've got two entries for the Civ IV stuff, too. AFAIK this has nothing to do with buying the game twice; it's just listing the Mac version as well as the PC version.

How to stop a Steam Update

Try right-clicking the game in your library, select 'Properties' -> Updates -> 'Do not automatically update this game'.
