I haven't run Prime95 but I ran "PassMark Performance Test" doing multi-tasking for 6 minutes (100% CPU) and the peak temps on the 4 cores were 66-70°C with the average being around 66°C over the 6 mins~ stats were this~ http://i39.tinypic.com/dw5oq8.png any good? :o

Does it have much of a performance loss having to do the conversion? Shouldn't the motherboards connector still work though or is that only for built in graphics?

Ok I installed everything & according to RealTemp the idle temperatures of the 4 cores averages between 31-37°C. RealTemp software is likely to be accurate?

Ok, the problem with the 212+ is it's sold on China's version of eBay and not by the actual company...and it's China so whether it's really the 212+ or not...a couple are showing pictures with built in lights :s

Yea I don't navigate; just search for names/words in english for the most part. Is it the camera angles or is that thing completely huge? :x I'll wait to see what the CM support say about the product~ since its the company itself that is selling the products on those 2 websites, if its $20 in...

I bought 2 sticks of 2g RAM for that >_< I can't find it in China :( not sold on any of 4 websites (including newegg.com.cn) edit: I just emailed the chinese support to ask them~ they list 2 online sellers but neither has it listed~

Unless I put my ear right next to the case I don't hear the fans. The cooler cost around $4.50 (although made & sold in china, reduced delivery cost~) so I guess it won't be top range~ What would you suggest then? The Noctura NH-D14 costs more than my mobo and almost as much as my 500gb HDD!

Ok, I'll install this tomorrow & see. Still waiting on my HDD to arrive (tomorrow) then I'll install XP & have a look with CPU-Z and that other software I've forgotten now that lets you se the core temperatures on windows～

There should be a parameter in the BIOS named CPU-Z? what would I be looking for when monitoring? I'll have a look at the DBS setting; I would have thought it would be enabled by default though if it's a good thing～

I guess the metal block is the heatsink? Here is my cpu cooler and my case except I also have an extra fan which is attached to the top side fan slot. I had it on the bottom side fan first but my graphics card is big & i guess it would block most of the airflow to the mobo. The case also...

Worked fine ^^ recognised as a 1220 too rather than a different CPU like an i5...they must add support but just not list it on the site because they want people to pay more for a "server board"～

The difference was just like $8 but I thought it would work in it's place fine :( assumed the higher cache would be better & didnt need the 2400's IG...hopefully I can return if it doesnt work... :x Freaks out as in refuse to boot or as in catch fire/explode? :x

I'm not. This PC now can't even stream 50% of YouTube videos smoothly (5fps; 100% CPU) or HD movies on HDD. So games are out the question to install just like most more powerful software.

It's all about QuakeLive. Free browser game based on Quake 3; check it out ;) sucks that I live in China now & there's only like 10 people who play it...most of who have played the game for 10 years :x
