I don't give a [hoot] about anything but price wars.
I want a good old fashioned price war in the GPU market god damnit, none of this GIVE US 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR OUR NEW CARD [stuff] that's been going on since this generation began.

1999: CRT
2012: CRT
I have tried other monitors and just can't be happy, it's either not fast enough or the quality is lower than my CRT.
There is no winning.
I was just thinking the other day we need some new rumours to spark things up into a frenzy, i've been getting bored as hell.
About god damn time (also amd is terrible, there let's get going)
I just looked at the price for these in australia, an Inno up for 480 bucks.
i'm currently going into shock at the price, the 680 is literally 200 bucks more.
I've been hearing good things about it's quality.
but has anyone tried faster FPS games with it? because i haven't seen numbers for input lag so it kinda worries me.
The hype train for the 680 has barely ended and now they're looking to stir people up into a froth again?
fans all over the place will start dropping dead from exhaustion at this rate.
This thread has done nothing but make it harder for me to decide.
think i'll probably go with the 120hz and if the quality bothers me i'll just fork out for something different.
Well if an OLED monitor that's amazing comes out in 7 months or so i'll buy it and i'm more than happy to just throw what i buy now into the trash, which obiously i won't.
But so much conflicting information makes this decision hard as hell :P
So as the titles says i'm finally upgrading off of my CRT, not due to any desire for a flatscreen but because i just cannot find CRT's where i live.
So with that in mind i'm looking to upgrade to a monitor that is used for extensive gaming, movies and television.
My first choice in monitor was...
Well just think, when things come out in mid 2013, assuming no delays (a man can dream right?) it'll be having tech in the range of a 6670.
a 6670 is considered pretty damn low end at this second in time, once the 28nm chips finish rolling out and the refreshes happen, it'll be even worse.
Sad...
I would buy one if the prices in australia weren't ludicrous.
It's cheaper than a 7970 over for the americans, but over here it's 100 bucks more expensive, which just boggles my mind.
Hoping that the big bad proper highend card from nvidia gets some leaks soon though, to stop me wasting the...
It's over, AMD is finished :D
but seriously, that souds like one monster of a card if it's true, i just wish the potential release dates for this and AMDs equivalent weren't so far away.
