    Yeah so, I just got the Phanteks...absolutely no difference between that and the Hyper 212 Evo with the Haswell :rolleyes: Higher idle temps too. I almost think there's something wrong with this 4770k, like the paste under the lid wasn't applied correctly.

    Nice. My boyfriend just ordered me a Phanteks PH-TC12DX, and I'll have it tomorrow. We'll see how the temps drop from the Evo 212 and maybe I'll be able to get it a bit higher!

    If you don't need power management, just turn auto off and set the voltages yourself. My motherboard set mine to 1.296V stock, which is ridiculous :eek:. I went in and set it to 1.090V stock frequencies and it was idle and cool.

    HWMonitor didn't work with my CPU. Have you tried realtemp? Though you are running stock I guess. This is as high as I can get the CPU on prime95 in large FFT or blend.

    Prime95 makes my 4770k yawn and sit at 64C on full load. Linpack/IntelBurnTest makes it cry. Try IntelBurnTest on maximum.

    Likely. The setup in my signature only uses ~220W playing BF3. about 200W running Linpack. I'd go with a 500W to be safe though.

    Increased both chipset voltages by like .015. Ram is 1.53 (1.5 stock) Completely stable @ 4.2Ghz with 1.21V core. I can't get it any higher on this cooler. It sits at 91C on linpack. So 4.2 is where I'm staying for now.

    Turns out, the one 140mm fan is shorted somewhere and pulling too much current. The power supply wont start up if I plug it directly into a 4pin 12v.

    I repasted with the stock Hyper 212 Cooler Master paste and lost 4C on load, and a few idle. Arctic Silver I would say, is that bad. Wow. BOOM BABY. 6.8Ghz on air! Just kidding, CPU-Z was showing some weird clocks when updating frequencies.

    Seems it will not power my NZXT 140mm fans. It'll power all of my 120mm fans though. Possibly drawing too much current?

    4,2 Ghz Idle: 30C 4.2Ghz Load: Hyper 212 Evo with 2 fans push/pull, Arctic Silver paste I7 4770k, G1 Sniper 5. Ambient room temp: 23C Vcore 1.150. Anything above 1.2V gets really hot and the 212 can't keep up. I was going for 4.4Ghz, but I couldn't get stable under 1.2V

    Real Temp gives me ~27C on the 4 cores @ 23C ambient. Sound right? Edit: Wow, with the lower level power my entire computer is pulling 88W from the wall on the Kill-A-Watt.
