Official: Oculus Rift pre-orders on Wed, Jan 6th @ 11am EST (8am PST)

So the compat checker says my i7-2700k @ 3.9 is too slow but an i5-4590 is ok ?? Am I correct to be dubious of this -- didn't run any tests just checked the id of the cpu for what I can tell.

Wolenstein: The old Blood......wont run

Game was not meh, was a solid 7.5+/10 if not slightly higher (I'd personally give it an 8 or so) edit: gasp and checking metacritic *AFTER* i gave my review was an avg score of 76/100, so i think im in good company.

SSD error, how to proceed?

I found WL2 to be rather lackluster, it had potential but ultimately felt rather flat. The weapons/gun selection were poor and very minimal and felt off in action, quests were somewhat decent but also often buggy and problematic. Randomized maps were not very random and get old very quickly...

exactly this. weekends on the flashback league are EPIC (think its this weekend and maybe 2-3 more??) every mod on each level / map is outrageously, wicked fun

I was more hyped for this than HL2 and quickly realized how much better HL2 was and is once I started playing this game. While not bad it was far from a "good" game and it was all the more disappointing by the long wait for it, and the feeling that you really weren't playing a Doom game at all...

Far Cry 4 - computer froze. Only hard reset helps.

I would update your nVidia drivers as they are fairly old, but honestly I would not give that much thought to one hard freeze in one game. One crash does not mean your system is unstable, it could simply be the game. Same game crashing all the time? May not like certain settings and not mean...

970 GTX disable slower memory

Regardless of how the 970 handles memory requests / memory budgeting, it sounds like the OPs issue is not related to the 970's memory -- graphics corruptions ?? Is your card oc'd or overheating ? Do other games give you corruption? Can you explain more.

I agree with you regarding below, however didn't feel that it detracted much from the initial playthrough. I highly enjoyed Season 1 and am looking forward to more. That said, the real issue with the lack of difficulty and minimal true impact is that the game has little to no replay value...
