How does a processor use just 1 bit?

Processors can be 1 bit, and so can DACs, a 1 would be a certain interval, and a 0 another interval, so in total 2 intervals, however with an 8 bit DAC you have 255 intervals, though you can't do anything with a 1-bit DAC, so my guess is that it's serial

Is this a good gaming pc

I could play AOE2 just fine on my A64 and Pentium III-era celeron(!). If you're going to play any games beyond that you're computer will bottleneck on you and there's nothing you can do about it.

Is the i3 processors usable for another 6 years ?

If you're seriously thinking about an i3, you should probably go for AMD at that level. Their procs are better at that price point as compared to Intel's i3.

How much RAM is too much? 32gb? 64gb?

Depends on your OS. If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate and if you can afford it, go for it. I wouldn't say that games are huge RAM gobblers compared to video, they mostly rely on the CPU but it's still better to max out your motherboard.

How to see if my 2x4Gb RAM sticks work in dual channel?

You can check by the speed they operate on, compared to single channel but that is quite difficult.

Can a single transistor failure render a processor useless?
