No takers yet then? Have 4 weeks left on warranty, so need to make a decision some time soon. Recently been playing around swapping PCB's to get a firmware upgrade done. My experience suggested that you do, at least in some situations, have to solder in one of the chips from the old board...

RMA address is Europe. Haven't got round to sending any back yet but think it's Holland. Could even be a UK address, I know they have a data recovery centre here. I'll find out soon enough anyway.

It's all down to what software you install, so in your mums case 60GB will be just fine. Just checked mine and I'm at 67GB and thats with Users directory on D:\ drive. AppData from Users alone would add another 9GB. Also, as it's for your mum, I'd steer clear of any performance SSD's. I...
