    The "450W" capacity of the Windforce is a pretty arbitrary number anyway. Arctic Accelero is only listed as having a 300W cooling capacity, but it is clearly superior to the Windforce.

    We also have to consider that in order to sell a 290X, you need a chip were all CUs are fully functional. Even Titan has a little more leeway there since it is a cut down chip.

    94C in "quiet mode" while running Furmark . . . Turn up the fan and the temperature goes down. And I don't know about you, but I don't regularly "play" Furmark.

    That makes sense. Wouldn't power consumption be higher in quiet mode, due to the higher temperatures? Of course that might be offset by higher boost clocks, depending on how this rendition of boost will work.
