The fit and finish of the Vostro was terrible. Where different pieces joined together there were visible gaps, exposing the innards. The screen bezel had a raised spot/bubble that when pushed down on would snap back into place but eventually pop back out again. You could also see backlight...
Not to crap on your thread but rather the Vostro... This is one of the cheapest, most worthless laptops I have ever owned. Bought one for my wife about 1.5 years ago, she now uses a MBA while the Vostro collects dust.
I bought this keyboard for my wife last year. She doesn't like it because the keys are loud (didn't want to disturb coworkers) but I love using it at home. The keyboard is built like a tank and provides great tactical feedback.
