I think I remember some sorta VH1 behind the band or whatever story about how stapp kicked his bassist out of the band because he said Vedder(pearl jam) wishes they could've written songs as good as them. anyway, creed is like the flavor vanilla. just plain and boring. nothing against them...

Why doesn't the U.S. Military use full body armor?

Years ago in high school I remember channel one did some sorta report on new bullet proof vests made of spider silk. Like 5 times as strong, and 10 times lighter, etc.

Can't get the screws into my PCI cards!

Same thing happened to my soundcard, so I took out the screw on the top of the card so the metal strip bends forward a little.

Good movie, but even though i've never read the books it's easy to tell how some scenes were rushed, well not rushed just compressed. Some things just didn't make sense, etc. Mostly what bigjohn said. Some things I didn't understand were... What was the deal with gandalf and that other wizard...

I'm guessing i've got an ata100 controller. My mobo came with an ultra ata cable that i'm using. No raid, though. It's the 8K7A, with an ibm 60gxp. Running win2k

I boot from a SCSI HD, I just added an IDE hd for mp3s, etc., but... 1) It doesn't show up in explorer 2) It's showing up as SCSI in device manager Any idea what i'm doing wrong?

I went to change motherboards, and I noticed that pad had melted. Anything wrong with that? I'd hate to shell out like 10 bucks for that thermal compound stuff.

Dual booting between Win2k and Linux, no menu to choose?

Before formatting, I thought I would try out Mandrake 8 to see what linux was all about. Well it boots straight into linux each time, no boot menu like you would have for Win2k/98, etc. Did a little searching and noticed someone said running fdisk /mbr will do something. Well it brings Win2k...
