now what i would find useful is a PORTABLE solution... im a pentester and often times need both linux and 2k running at once doing 2 different things.. now since i travel for this, we use laptops... would be nice to have a Thicker laptop with a single display that contained two individual...

this is so damn strange. hmmm.. and yes, i have ghost, and have done it this morning. the fresh format didnt help a bit... uhg.. it freezes even at 640*480*16 in all games except UT which works even at 1280*1024*32... strange...

yes. that IS one possibility.. i have a powerful surge-protected powerstrip, but the power DID go out once while i was gone. How can i diagnose this and determine what exactly was damaged if this was the cause?

ok, tried again with nascar 4 following successful benchmark, and it froze again!!! UHHHHHHHHHG. one item to note here: it's not a total freeze. The mouse is still moveable..(arrow cursor moves) but i cant alt-tab out or do ANYTHING.. and ive tested this by letting it sit 20minutes and still...

Det's: i went back to 10.80 now... have tried 11.01 and 11.00 as well. 4in1: using 4.29v i was able to, just now after re-installing det's AND 4in1 to successfully run a full 3dmark2001 test and got 2969 with the d3d under dsiplay prop's set to "bst performance"... so maybe it wont...

Win2k, how to disable ps/2 port?

im having a prob in 98... on the kt7a mobo... but all i see in bios is for ps/2 keyboard which is enable/disable.. mine is not detecting the ps/2 mouse during windows install!? uhhg.. the keyboard works fine though... strange... any ideas? or does someone know if there really is something in...

ok, sorry for the caps, but im a little upset over this... EVERYTHING in this system works great, but no matter what I try to do, the ps/2 mouse wont recognize. (3 diff mice).. this is an Abit KT7A with a tbird... Do I need to replace the entire motherboard? or is there something im missing...

hmm, ok, I found a 950p and the 955sl for the same price, $299... and yes, the .22 is hdp... so it probably has .26 dp.. which makes me lean toward the Sceptre because it's Black! lol.. and also it claims to be "High Contrast Flat Square CRT".. but like you said, I TOO know nothing...
