Actually EB's technically no longer pricematch; it is up to the manager now. By meaning "up to the manager" I mean probably no more than $5 off the price. And they have to have it in stock, which is unlikely since EB's get their shipments significantly earlier than targets, best buys, etc...

Comcast increasing upstream from 128kbps to 256kbps

I rebooted my modem in chatt TN and I have 256 upstream now. told a friend about this here in the same area and the same result. I wonder what the "catch" is? john

Wreckless for Xbox only $10 @ EB after instant coupon

Picked up Wreckless for Xbox at EB, was $19.99 and then minus a $10 instant coupon from their winter sale flyer. Not a bad game for $10...bad camera, frusterating missions, but darn nice graphics...

Buffy for Xbox only $9.99 @ EB B&M

My local Electronics Boutique store had Buffy the Vampire Slayer for $9.99 new! Great deal - the game is really quite good, even if you don't like Buffy. One of the best fighting combo games ever.

EB has a pretty slick promotion going with trade ins; trade in a PS1, Dreamcast, or N64 with 10 games and you get $100 towards a PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube. Doesn't matter which games (could all be crappy games). Not volcano hot, but pretty fair if you have an older one sitting around. john

am running the shark hub on my PC now. works fine, and looks much "cooler" than my other fairly generic looking usb hub. it is powered and installed - as would be expected with any usb device - quite easily.

NFL GameDay 2001 for PS2 $19.99+ tax at EB

Would be a good deal if the game was decent but it's pretty crappy...footballs appear out of players' heads, they moonwalk, gather in the middle of the field for no reason. Worse than the psone version. A better deal is Fantavision, which is also $19.99. =)

Actually - it's not a bad deal at all when you consider that for $60 you can get *two* v2-1000 and sli them together; thereby giving you roughly the graphic equivalent of a v33k if I'm not mistaken. john
