I have an asus a7v133. Can i put an athlon xp 2200 or xp 2400 in it? If not what can i put in it. I currently have athlon 1.2Ghz in it.

I wonder if there is a way to block certain webstite. I have windows xp-pro and there is this personal contact/chat site that my teenage son goes to that I don't think is appropriate. I use both firefox and internet explorer.

Well He is Has a PIII800Mhz and thinks that is too slow so the 286 wount fly. He owns an own buissness and does alot of work on his computer. No graphic intense worth though.

First build mega issue

My guess its your psu. I had a problem with a psu frying my mobo. It took me 3 burned mobo to figure that out, however the fans did start to turn. I would suggest to try another psu.

Sudden loss of connection

Found out today it was a broken port on my router. When i used the line directly from modem I should have changed from optain ip adress automatic since i have Static IP so thats was the reason that didnt work. Well finally I am back online with both my computers.

I now tried the mem in another board and its works. I tried the cpu in another board and it works fine. I also tried the videocard and its fine. So its either the motherboard thats doa or the mem is not compatible for the board. I will be calling newegg the first thing in the morning. Thats...

I tried to boot outside the case. Still having same problem. I change cpu/heatsink. same problem. i have 2 strips of memory i tried one or both of them in diffrent slots and still same problem. Either both memory doesnt work or its something else.

Memory questions.

The reason i am asking is because it doesnt boot and i have generic 2100 mem. I dont know beepcodes for ABIT. If it would been an ASUS board the beepcode from bios would mean mem not detected (repeeted beeps). I cant find any documentation about beepcodes in the ABIT instructionguid for the mobo.

When i switch on power, i hear long beeps repeeted every 3 seconds. If it was a asus i know its means that memory isnt detected. I dont know if its the same with abit.

I had some bad experiences with asus A7V333 not wanting to boot . I found out it was a common problem. I suggest to stay away from it.

A7V333 system startup failure

I put a computer together and it was running fine for a week, now for no obvious reason it wount boot. In one try of 30 i am able to acess bios but then it hangs while i am in bios, the other times it wount even get to bios. The temps when i was running was low (50C) and i checked the fan cable...
