Question Best motherboard under $200 for a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and DDR4 3600 RAM?

I like the Asus X570-P Prime motherboard. Not a lot of fancy features, but performs well, good cooling, and the usual benefits of the X570 platform. PCIe 4.0 and two m.2 slots. The upcoming Tomahawk X570 is promising, but I would wait for reviews before deciding.

Question Seeking advice on memory overclock using xmp

Regarding voltage, the motherboard does default to 1.5v. I just assumed the memory would need more voltage to run at higher speeds. Someplace online I read ddr3 should run at between 1.5 and 1.65v. Would it make a difference to manually enter the ram timings in the uefi? Also, would it...

Question "Best" (but less expensive) X570 board, with 64GB DDR4-3600 and dual PCI-E 4.0 x4 NVMe support? Dual GPUs too.

Another vote for the Asus Prime. I would avoid any of the cheap or midrange MSI x570 boards. According to hardware unboxed they have terrible thermals.

My 2 slot 6870 sits in slot 1, pci sound card in pci slot 2. There is very little space between the 2 cards. Would it be helpful to move the 6870 to pcie slot 2 to create a larger gap between the two? I was thinking this would help improve case airflow around the gpu and lower temps. Also...

Are 7970 and GTX 680 fairly euqal cards for gaming?

Yes, roughly equal. But I would look at the games and resolution that you run to see which is better. Also, you may have trouble finding a 680 in stock at retail price right now. If you are into overclocking also consider a 7950 which can match the other two at stock speeds when overclocked...

Recommendations for top quality Nvidia card maker (no EVGA)?

Hear good things about MSI, ASUS, Galaxy. PNY and HIS have bad reputations. PNY has a poor warranty feature where the warranty ends once a card is no longer being manufactured. HIS supposedly does not send earned rebates in some cases.

7950 or 7970?

7950 if you want more bang for the buck. Overclocked it is very close to 7970 performance (around 3% slower at same clock speeds).

$250-$300 video card purchase...is now a bad time?

Where are the price cuts?

Price cuts have hit the gtx 580 in the past few weeks, you can now find these in the high $300s. As others here have said, price cuts will spread more once the gtx 680 supply catches up with demand. Those who want to save $$$ simply have to be patient.

Gtx 580 or 7870 at $400 price point.

If you can find a 7870 for the same price as a 580 then it would be a tossup. Each card has its pros and cons but they are of equal value.
