I would have a pure core i5 with no built on chip graphics. This gives me multiple energy efficient cores to work with. Whatever the Maxwell equivalent of the gtx 760 ends up being and 8 gb of unified memory. All soldered onto 1 board.
This would comfortably pump out 1080p for at least the...
I wonder what kind of performance boost would be achieved by tri channel memory vs the current dual channel architecture currently used. Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't that lift memory bandwidth by 50% and seriously help apu performance without having to adopt a new memory type.
Honestly I am not really following the case. I have never really been interested in high profile trials like this. I can say the majority think he is as guilty as OJ.
I would love for AMD to design something similar to the console architecture for the pc.
A fully integrated motherboard with memory, decent 7790 level graphics and a chunk of gddr5 along with a half decent multi core processor in one package.
The motherboard manufacturers can then use the...
Cut the ram to 8 gigs and get the fastest ram you can with the original budget. Trinity needs fast memory not tons of it. Plus you should have a nice quick upgrade path as the next generation APU is gonna use the same socket.
When I read this thread a saying comes to mind "never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
Anybody who feels kicking out the rich can look at Zimbabwe as an example. Without the rich all you have are poor people and corrupt politicians.
I would personally like to see the most powerful gpu that AMD can build that doesn't require auxiliary power.
The 7770 was 5 Watts too power hungry, so let's see the 8770.
I am seriously building myself an htpc with the new A10 5700. Just do I can get a slim console like form factor.
Pretty much every game is playable there so when the hit the channel I am gonna build myself an htpc with one of these suckers.
If Vishera shows the same percentage increases that trinity does it is going to mean something very bad for the console market.
Remember guys we are looking at a very...
Doesn't it strike anybody that these tit for tat arguments are irrelevant until products come out with these processors?
If an AMD A10 comes out at the same price or close to an i7 laptop then it is a fail but if it comes in at the i3 to i5 level then it is a win.
Ultimately price will tell if...
$100 says the battery life on the trinity gives that old core 2 a hiding.
And the is more to a processor than cinebench, you have to test a full spread of apps
Frankly I cannot wait till trinity laptops hit retail. Price will be the ultimate determining factor though. If they are reasonably priced I think there well be a lot of takers.
Please someone release a laptop with an a10 processor, decent 15 inch display ( I am happy with 1366x768 till as...
How is this rape? Because the state says so?
I am pretty sure I would have loved being "raped" by one of the hot teachers in my school and my mates would have given me a high five for nailing a teacher. Honestly the age of majority laws need a change. 18 is ridiculous.
I disagree. The vast majority of people barely use the equivalent of an i3... We are going to have to find a use for all that extra die space as the process shrinks filter through. Graphics processors are the perfect use for that extra die space.
Once a CPU can run a game above 30 FPS on 1080p...
Well after the wet blanket that was ivy bridge I am dead curious to see what trinity delivers.
I assume the top end Intel CPU's will spank it in processor performance but the GPU will kick some serious butt for an on board.
I planning to build a thin mini itx PC to use as a gaming and HTPC combination.
The cases I want won't accommodate a discrete card so trinity looks to be my saviour
If I was you I would wait a little bit and slap in an AMD trinity processor. the current llanos are fast enough for movies etc but having the ability to jam games on the system as will pushes it over the top.
Still if you have no interest in being able to game on it then a simple celeron g530...
Considering that almost nothing truly taxes modern CPU's I think trinity is going to be a spectacular processor for laptops and for mid to low end PC's.
Considering that this is the vast bulk of PC sales I wouldn't count out AMD at all. The trinity processor in any of these form factors as well...
This is the first response I read as rational. Let me start by saying that I live in South Africa and have less than 0 interest in the political angle allocated to this discussion.
I would have to agree that this post is correct. There are billions of people around the world becoming more...
Thanks for the advice happy boy but I am trying to move away from needing a personal nuclear reactor to power my PC. As I mentioned before, power prices have gone up significantly and we are looking down the barrel of 3 25% increases In the next 3 years so I don't want an energy hog.
I have...
Thanks guys... Any chance somebody is gonna bring out a single slot 7770 variant? Also looking at slapping one in my HTPC.
Otherwise I am gonna go 7770 in my gaming PC and 7750 in the HTPC for the missus to jam games on the 46 inch.
Hi guys. I currently have my old faithful 9800gtx+ but it is getting a bit long in the tooth. I am considering taking it out and shooting it.
I have been looking at the 7770 or the 7750 but I am a bit unsure whether these would be and upgrade to the card. With electricity prices going through...
I must agree. I love everything these guys make and I don't feel screwed by them at all. Funny but they are both companies that release games when they feel like it.
Looking forward to getting myself a trinity based HTPC and laptop.
Llano was almost but not quite there. Add another 30% onto the graphics performance of llano and we have a winner.
