Gateway machine, high pitch noise, doesnt boot

I think i will end up having to do that, i wish the case wasnt so proprietary, the psu bought couldnt even mount correctly, oh well, thanks!

the noise appears to of been coming form the motherboard itself, i got a brand new powersupply, there is no high pitch noise anymore, but nothing happens when i power on

win98 setup appears after boot

We got tired of waiting so we entered the correct information, then it said thanks for entereing the information, then it gave a network and machine login prompt, after those were entered it gave an explorer error and all i can see is the mouse cursor and the wallpaper, with no programs running...

shorted?

i dont hear anything when i try and turn it on, the ps fans dont spin(they didnt before i did the jumper reset either though) the processor and ram settings were setup correctly after the first jumper reset i did, they worked fine, until i gave it back to him.

help on installing Windows 2000 Professional

when i installed it, i need 4 disks, (for formatted fresh install) to install win2k, then when it reboots, put the first in and it installs that way, never tried it with a non formatted drive. 0.02

NHL2001 + WIN2K PROFESSIONAL problem :(

i just got nhl2001 today from gamestop.com i installed it on win2k pro and it works fine, played against my roomate through the lan, BUT when i tried to start a season, i get `hard drive full` error, and i have a little less then 8 gigs available on the drive, what gives?!
