Just a few comments on the Sprint PCS Vision service..
I got the Samsung A500 phone from CostCo (best deal IMHO).. and I was able to activate my phone without too much trouble (I only had to wait 5 hours and talk to 3 sprint reps to do it).
The phone itself has a few cool games bundled with...
Yea that was pretty easy.. i just logged onto the Samsung Battery offer website and it took me 2 minutes to fill in my info .. and add the free extra battery to my shopping cart. cool!
Does anyone know wher to order the attachment that let's you connect your A500 to your laptop and surf the...
You bastards! I am running out of money cuz of these deals.
Anyway, I just went out to Costco and bought the A500.. and it came with a car charger, belt holster, and earpiece.. but NO extra battery!? How/Where did you get the extra battery for it?
dirtrat how exactly did you hook up your 4900 to your pc.. via usb? How?
And then how did you use your phone as your internet connection.. sounds cool, but i'm confused.
Do you know if they have a similar 25% off discount for the $299 A500 phone? I have used ATT Wireless for the past few years but I want to switch to Sprint in order to use their new 3G Wireless network (PCS Vision).
I was looking for a good deal on an in-dash mp3/cd player and this is the best deal I found.
This receiver is awesome. It has SO many options and the display is really cool. Most mp3 players with this kind of a display are much more expensive.
Buy the Pioneer DEH-P7400MP from crutchfield.com...
Ok, I'm an idiot.
I just found an interesting option on the monitor's on-screen menu. It allows you to select Analog/Digital on the DVI input! I guess I didn't need to get the new monitor cable after all.
I hooked up the included Analog-DVID cable again.. and this time I switched the...
satori: what is this geforce2 filter? never heard of it. The factory settings had the edges all messed up. But, there are SO MANY options you can tweak (TOO many really).. you can get the geometry on the monitor to look pretty much as perfect as you can imagine.
ilikemovie: Ghosting is when...
I just went out and bought the most expensive analog monitor cable and it helped a little.. but I can still see some slight ghosting.. could it be my computer speakers or my geeforce2 or soemthing? This monitor is nice but it is WAY to sensitive!
BTW, except for this ghosting problem and a...
I just got a brand new NEC FP1350X 22" totally flat screen monitor! And it rocks! The only problem is that I see some slight ghosting on the screen (multiple images). I have been told that this is caused by either a bad connection to the montior or a low quality analog cable. I just...
ilikemovie: I already got that file and am using those drivers. So, that wasn't the problem.
I just got off the phone with NEC-Mitsubishi support and they said that I need to go out and buy an Analog-Analog cable. The monitor is apparently detecting a digital connection because the included...
Woohoo! My FP1350X just showed up at the door (good thing I came home early).. The UPS chick (hottie btw) said she could NOT leave it out front so beware of this. You need to be present.
Anyway, I opened the box and it includes a DVI-D to DVI-D cable and a Analog to DVI-D cable. Since my...
Whew! I am so glad I ordered the FP1350X 22" monitor yesterday! I just tried doing a checkout today and it said that promotion is no longer valid (in a popup box) despite the fact that it STILL says the promotion is supposed to be valid till Jul 3rd.
satori. I actually decided to get the FP1350X.. I like the DVI inputs and it is a bit cheaper. the FP1370 has a bit higher refresh at high resolutions and .01 smaller dot pitch.. but I think the quality of the FP1350X is better. Hopefully that one is in stock.
OMG! I can't believe I'm going to drop $600 on this deal.. DAMN YOU people! I think I'm going with the FP1370 too.. it has some awesome resolution and refresh numbers. Oh well, at least I'm upgrading from a 17"er.
All OUT in Salt Lake City, UT area. No 19"ers or the TFT-15"er.
I was about an hour late at one of the stores that had the 19" monitor. Some guy bought ALL 4 that they had! That sucks! Damn egayers. I just wanted one.
If you put some thermal paste on first it gives you a bit of a safety factor - you should put the thermal paste on anyway.
My Alpha6035 had no problems .. I took it off and on several times (trying different processors) and it didn't hurt anything.
I'm using 2 128mb sticks of generic PC100.. everything has been rock solid for 2 weeks now.
Asus A7V w/ Duron 600 running at 950mhz (9.5 * 100fsb @ 1.65v ~47C)
Get the latest BIOS update from asus.com and also make sure to install the VIA drivers (www.viahardware.com).
I was having similar random lockups on my A7V and it wasn't the memory because I even had everything at CAS3 and 100mhz.
Now, I am running stable 600@950 (1.65v)
Just keep messing...
I have the exact same setup.
Sounds like you need to get up and running at the default 600 first.
Make sure all the cards are seated correctly (especially your video card).
Hopefully you didn't connect any of the L1 bridges together when you did the defogger trick (btw, the pencil job works...
Yep. My system seemed to be in great shape too, but you will soon find out that it's not. I tested it with 3dMark, Prime95, etc.. and I could run overnight.. but as soon as I tried installing games - my system crapped all over itself!
I did get the latest drivers from the asus website...
I recently upgraded my BH6 w/ Celery 366@550 to an A7V w/ Duron 600@950.
My previous installation of Windows ME (relatively recent install too) was still on the machine when I upgraded the mb and cpu. After the hardware was put in, all sorts of drivers were reinstalled by windows (IDE, BUS...

I think I just answered my own question.
I tried the fan both ways and sucking is definately much better than blowing.
Running with Prime95 for 15 min.
42C suck
44C blow
This is with the ALPHA 6035
I had similar problems until I removed my sound card. Check to see what IRQs are shared with your devices and make sure your sound card isn't sharing one.
Also, get the latest bios updates.
