I went skydiving a couple of weeks ago, and they recorded it for me on DVD+R. I've been trying to rip it to Divx to be able to post it on my website, etc. but the only thing I have figured out how to do is to get the VOB file and also rip it into "regular" mpeg format. But it's big, 150mb for...

Want to increase my credit limit...what's a good amount to ask for?

i haven't read through every single post, but basically - get another credit card! for a while i was stuck at 1k and they wouldn't raise it, but then I just got 4 of them - all 1000 each :). I actualy didn't even use them, I never carry a balance, but lots of cards give you $$ to sign, try...

Q: what do those "work from home" spams/scams really involve?

finding a job is turning out to be pretty hard, so these "work from home" spams are sounding more and more inviting. of course, i can't click on it, and i doubt they would tell me anything anyhow without me sending in some money. does anyone know what these usually involve? pyramid schemes...

25%!?!?! Almost all of mine are 0% APR, either for balance transfers or purchases. The only one that tempted me was 0% APR on both purchases and bal transfers, no bal transfer fees, all until March 2004. Pretty sweet, but I simply never carry credit card debt. I guess they know this and are...

I'm at my parent's place, and I need to get some semi-large files from my laptop to their PC. The problem is, my laptop only has a hard drive, and my parent's computer doesn't have a network card. So, my only solution seems to be trying to transfer files via 56k modems. My laptop is running...

i have the netgear ma701 as well. but it should be basically the same. if everything is default, make sure that power saving mode is off (just in case), and make sure that the dlink is choosing the correct ssid, that is, the ssid of your WAP and not something else. after that dhcp should...

eh? sp1? is your computer your access point? otherwise if you have a standalone WAP you just need to pair your Axim with the wap. i had to fiddle around for about an hour to get mine working, since I have a lot of MAC filters and other security crap set up. My Axim runs great =) May I...

yup, i've done a lot of these (ergo the 3 checking accounts), and it's just the same as earning (a lot of) interest. it'll be taxed, but my tax bracket is pretty low :(. if you have to worry about your tax bracket, $150 isn't going to matter that much :).

Agreed. the sock on the ole' doorknob get's old. Of course, not having to deal with traffic or cubicles, and waking up at noon and being finished by 3 is also good :)
