They are still out there. Picked one up today for 52.99 Newegg lists them for 95.00 I also bought one of these about a year ago for my son's system. Ventilation on that one is not real good and it runs a little warm. I would not buy this if you intend to overclock. Those are the downsides...
10% works on the other higher price canon digital slr's on Dell's site. Digital Rebel is a great price. I wish Nikon would hurry up and get something in this price range. Or even something comparable to Canon's 10D-S. I've got too much invested in Nikon lenses and flash units to switch to...
>>Is it really PRO - does it include GHOST?
CD I recieved included Ghost.
>>Zemmervolt - "The updates are still free if you download and install them manually. It's just the fancy automatic >>download and install part that costs money."

>>How? When I try it said it cannot be updated until I...
I got this a couple of weeks ago from the other thread. I just installed it and checked the subscription end date and it's 09-20-2004. Looks like a year to me.
With these laptops zipping through the production stage I'm assuming they'll ship well before the estimated ship dates. Mine est ship date is the 19th but with it already in the boxing stage I would think it would ship earlier next week.
I'm going to chuck the 128mb RAM that comes with it and...
I bought a Toshiba laptop from CC 16 months ago and it had two seperate $100 rebates. One from Toshiba and one from CC. Both came in the 6-8 week range. I'll agree that having $200-300 tied up in rebates will make you nervous until you receive them.
This is a nice deal, it's making me think...
wfay,
Every data cable I've seen is serial. Yes you can buy an adapter. Compgeeks has got this one. Can't vouch for this specific brand but if I didn't have one, I'd buy it. I bought mine from buy.com for $25, six months ago. :)
Boy, that time of year already! The memories come flooding back. I joined this board in Oct 2000 mainly for the MSN Holiday deal. That year it was 800.com and Mercata. I got my toshiba 36" TV, Toshiba DVD player, and about $1000 in stereo equiptment from 800.com. The UPS guy was cursing me...
alm99,
I've never used Namecheap... not familiar with what tools you've got available. If you can't login to edit your account information on their website, maybe an email to their support folks could get your address/phone changed. I know other people here mention Namecheap quite a bit...
I bought this a couple of weeks ago for my son's system. I've got an Iwill 266 motherboard with an unlocked AMD athalon 1ghz overclocked to 1.2? ghz (don't remember exactly). Also has a geforce 2gts video card. Been running fine since I built it.
Case is decent construction, pretty thin...
My one and only transaction with them went without a hitch. I ?won? a video card on a Thursday, paid immediately, and received the card on Monday. Card was exactly as advertised. Granted, shipping was $13 but I factored that in to the card price and still got a decent deal.
I heard nothing...
ex-cyberwinger :o
I signed up around 10:00AM yesterday and got my "all set" email at 9:00PM last nite. Not bad at all. Let's hope the service and support remains good. I'm sure his business is growing rapidly with the flood of cyberwings refugees and the exposure he's gotten in these forums...
Drove home at lunch and it was there, delivered at 8:26AM. Bare OEM drive. I was very close to ordering the same drive from newegg last night for $102 but held off because I wouldn't have got it by the weekend. Glad I waited. Still a little miffed at Dell. I had checked my status on their...

I also got the July 30th email. Gee, we'll give you free overnite but were gonna wait 2 1/2 weeks before we ship it. Still a good deal, just wish I didn't have to wait another 2 weeks to get it.

Super Deal ? Thanks! I?ve been mulling over the HD deals the last couple of weeks and I really wanted to avoid the ?after rebate? deals.
I went in through the free shipping link on the front page. After adding the drive and going to checkout, it showed half price shipping. Almost chickened...
I'm also putting together another Anandtech hotdeal box. Got this motherboard and ordered two sticks of Crucial 256mb 2100 DDR ram and I'm waiting on my XP1600 from newegg. Last time I bought a motherboard I paid $130+ Amazing the money you can save by waiting 6 months and buying 2nd...
The two auctions out there today for Robanton GeForce3 Ti200 are $103 and $105 Stupid :disgust: me was waiting for them to drop lower than $60 dohhh!!!
