FYI - I called MCI today as I had applied over the internet 8 days ago but then never heard squat from them. They had my # and name in the computer and said that the sign-up had worked. Missed out on the free Amazon shipping but it looks like I'll get my GC in a few days...

HOT deal on GAS in Dallas, TX area!! $1.09 for unleaded!

Unleaded in Lafayette, LA is $1.19 unleaded at the Circle K. We get cheap gas at the pump plus make a killing off you guys... (I work for an oil exploration company). If I'm not mistaken, Racetrack is cash only and I wouldn't trust the quality of the gas - it's basically refinery dregs...

Anyone know the difference between the designation of home vs. business in the eyes of the telcos? Just wondering if you switch from residential to business, can you later revert back to residental? Does it matter? Grimas

Just a question... I understand you can do this deal, get the GC then revert back to your previous service (I get $.05/min anytime on Sprint). Can you then do it AGAIN? You may be able to get up to $300 in CG... Just a thought! Grimas

Need help - can't detect CD when booting to install Windows

Thanks for all the advice. I downloaded a different boot disk (Micron's) from www.bootdisk.com and finally got it to work. Grimas

Forgot to add - I've got 128mb RAM and pulled ut my 2nd video card, sound card, SCSI card and network card.

I in need of some serious help. I had Win ME installed and started screwing with the "Restore" features. When I rebooted, I couldn't get out of the "Safe mode". I decided to start over and I formatted my C: drive. Now when I reboot, I can't get to my CD drive to reinstall...
