Lol lucky, I would rather reset to get rid of all the intel substructure but its nice to know it works. It wasnt like that 10+ years ago!

Im moving from an Intel to AMD platform and wondered if I can just unplug my m.2 drive from my current Intel box, plug it into my new AM4 motherboard, go straight into safe mode on boot and perform a full OS reset to return Win10 back to factory defaults allowing me to load new motherboard...

Im upgrading now but I know why I need it. I play a combined arms MMOFPS which is CPU bound and while Ive had my 3570 on 4.2ghz for most of its life, the IPC and power improvements between Ivy Bridge 4.2 and Kaby Kake 4.5 is worth as much as an extra 5fps in the 30-40 fps area in a frame...

We did it!! Planetside 2 is now the record holder yay!! New record set at 1158 players! Thanks to all who came to watch, I hope you enjoyed the fight. (no is definitely 400x3, the most we ever had was 2000 but it just couldnt cope, now its 1200)

Thanks for the replies guys, good point its free to use but not open source, its just a small statistics viewer ive written to improve my code skills I wasnt even going to release it but people in my community ask me for it so ive tidied it up and now its close im look for somewhere to leave it...

Is SSDLife software accurate/reliable?

I had something like 6 or 7 years left but after no changes in firmware, drives or software, it now says 67 years 1 month...yeah right, thats believable - NOT however the work time and powered on count seems to be about right ... from believing it to be good I now think this software is unreliable

Im with the hammer the hell out of camp, load it with all the caching you can, its what its there for, leave no space, its got some anyway PC stays on for 2-4 days a time between reboots, all my caches and pagefile are ON the drive, its used every day and sometimes caches run through several gb...

Does ram make a big difference in BF3?

working set for bf3 seems to be around 1.8gb...its an x32 game so it wont address much over 2gb, add on half a gig for the browser, origin etc, and whatever ur os is using, music etc basically 4gb physical ram on an X32 pc is the minimum, ideally 8gb on an x64

Are you using 120hz or 3D?

if only there was a 16:10 24" 120Hz display that had displayport, id buy it in a heartbeat since single link dvi/hdmi doesnt have enough bandwidth, its either dual link dvi or nothing atm, why are monitor manufacturers trying to ignore dp? id rather have that than chunky dual link dvi cabling...

Partitioning SSD for 2 OS to use- what is trimmed?

yeah but what will happen to the data on the xp partition, xp doesnt support trim, but win 7 does, and will see the xp partition. looks like ive stumped everyone lol The answer is probably that any data that xp writes on either partition will only be trimmed when i run a trimming tool...

Question on Memory Voltage

auto or what? see if the nothing option unlocks the ram voltage pwm to be adjusted in another field. and youd likely know if your 3.3v line was at 1.8v, things would be going badly wrong, 1.8 however sounds about right for ram defaults so yeah a little bump is in order if yours is 2.1 stock...
