monitor screen "wiggles" at some resolutions

So my monitor has begun to "wiggle"... it just happened out of the blue, I came home and it was jiggling back and forth like a drunken sailor... it's a samsung syncmaster 955DF.. i usually run @ 1280x1024 @ 75hz.. at that resolution, it shakes considerably... currently, at 1024x768 @ 100hz...

buying a new mouse.....

take a look at the mx500.. it's a bit more, but it's the best mouse i've ever used (for everything.. internet, gaming, general use).. fits my hand perfectly.. check it out..

what do ya mean by that? i installed WMP 9 and it'll crash on anything but .asf files now.. .mpg & .avi both crash it...

i'm looking to build a basic file server that would be accessed by windows PCs only... computer's a celeron 633 w/ 256mb ram, lots of HD space, crappy video card, etc.... the question is, i'm not sure which OS to run w/ this... the choices are pretty much win XP, or some flavor of linux w/ SAMBA...

new gf3 ti200 broken?

so i got my best buy geforce 3 ti200 today, but when i plug it into the agp slot and reboot, i get no signal from the computer at all on my monitor... the computer sounds like it's booting up just fine, but nothing's on the screen.. i replaced my gf2 w/ this gf3, so i don't think it's a power...

looking for AMD XP motherboard w/ onboard raid

all i really want out of this motherboard is stability (so no/not much overclocking), DDR ram slots, and onboard RAID.. i'm pretty much looking to spend as little as possible on this one.. anyone have some opinions?

UD works like a charm, UT cheats on me...WHY?

UT is one of the most fickle games out there as far as overclocked processors go... i could run prime95 for days w/ no problems, but fire up UT and 5 minutes or less later.. crash... good luck:)

Video card for separate TV output (with adobe premiere) [for video editing]

So I'm building a computer to edit video, and I'd like to be able to use a TV as an external monitor to use as the preview window in adobe premiere.. i'm going to be buying a pinnacle DV500+, and wanted to know if this would work, or if I need a TV card with video out or a dual head system to do...

well, i've tried the z-buffer thing.. STILL gives me the same sort of texture corruption.. could it be that there's something on this card that's bad??? memory, perhaps? what else could it be?

thanks for the replies, guys.. gonna go check on this z buffer thing.. now if i can only figure out why my frame rates aren't going anywhere... from my TNT2 to this geforce 2, i've only picked up about 20fps in 800x600 @ 32bits.. from like 55fps to 75fps.. bah

has anyone done this and not found a loss of signal? I'd like to round all of my cables in my system to make it cleaner and whatnot, but I"m not sure that it would be safe to do this with my higher quality cables. Info anyone?

still looking for help, screenshots in a message down the page a bit i'm wondering how you all test a new video card.. i got a new geforce 2 GTS today, and when I installed it, i now get some corrupted textures in unreal tournament. some strange black bands go across some of the textures...

yeah.. i'm guessing it's the hot-ass ambient temp in here that's making it where it is.. i HAVE a GOrb on there.. and it's still running that hot.. is Arctic Silver worth the money? and i guess i should start making a few case mods.. adding a fan or two.. sigh.. didn't want to get into...

Well, I bumped up the voltage to 1.9v on my slocket, set the bios to default.. registered as 1.9v.. played UT for about an hour, and it seems to be going fine.. only problem is my temp maxxes out at 49deg C now.. kinda high.. this is with a GOrb and some cheap thermal grease.. is this a...

Celeron 633 @ 950 @ 1.85v +GORB - Unreal Tourney Stability problems

I've got this celeron 633 running at 950 at 1.85volts pretty stable w/ a golden orb and some cheap thermal compound (but not the GOrb stuff), on an ABit BE6 w/ the newest bios, and some mushkin PC133 ram... my temps when playing UT go up to around 120F.. not terribly high, but I keep getting...
