Then it becomes a hotmail clone, to be used to sign up at websites that require address that you would rather not give your permanent one to. I agree, it's free, but it is not the cure to cancer.

I can't say whether google changed the frequency they are giving out invites, but I can give my experience. Once I got a gmail account it took 5 days to get any invites. The first batch was 6 for each account I had (2), then the next time I rec'd 1 invite for each account. I am hoping to get a...

Bios rom checksum error

I am receiving this error randomly. when it occurs, there is also 2 beeps, a high and low tone. On the next boot, No hard drive will be detected. If I go into the bios and try to have it detect the drive, it won't see them. If I reboot a few times or disconnect and connect the drive, it will...

get rid of windows messenger in xp.

Start/run then type this in: notepad c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf delete the word "hide' from all lines, then go to add/remove programs and you can now uninstall that, and many other items.

why is the symbol for 8 a rightside up infinity?

If you take a strip of paper, twist it once and then tape the ends together, you get what is called a mobius strip. It looks like the infiniti symbol and if you took a pencil and started drawing a line on it, you could write on both sides of the strip without lifting the pencil.

Norton Ghost Rules!

I love Ghst myself, but never could figure out how to get the image to copy right to a cd. Always had to copy it to the HD, and then burn it, and do the same in reverse when restoring an image. (if there's a way I've never seen mention of it)...I've been playing around drive image by powerquest...

Any camcorder reccomendations?

JVC Mini-DV Camcorder (model number escapes me), came with add-on firewire card and software. bought it when my daughter was born, and worth every penny.
