Any upcoming UltraBooks that can match MBA build quality?

If you stick with most brands' "enterprise grade" products (i.e. ThinkPad vs. IdeaPad, Latitude vs. Inspiron), you should see better longevity and durability. I'm waiting for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon...

    Laptop under $1400?

Talaii makes a great point about Quick Sync - the dedicated transcoding silicon means you don't need huge CPU horsepower as long as your software can leverage it. I'm in a similar situation - wife has an X220 that I love, but need higher resolution for work - 1366 just isn't enough desktop...

Gunbuster, can you give us some more details on the requirements, such as peripherals being used and I/O needed, networking requirements, OS, power source and preference for a one- or two-piece solution so we can help narrow down your options?

Vehicle mount (fork truck) industrial tablet/convertible laptop?

Getac and General Dynamics are possible alternatives to Panasonic. If you want a single-unit solution, and depending on your software/connectivity, I'd check out Ubiqconn as well:http://www.ubiqconn.com/Default.aspx?name=Product&cid=7&Op=MainPage&parentid=7 If you want a two-piece solution...
