Why doesn't Intel use more "shroud" on their stock cooling fans?

Small gains in IPC, no gains in stock HSF wire management. :D Seriously though, you'd think they'd change it up after all these years.

Honestly fallout/scrolls games are the most bug filled games I've ever played in my life. I'm more surprised at you being surprised about the AI issues than the AI issues actually being there.

Streaming....from one system to another??

There are a lot of products that are used passthrough style out there. meaning theres video in and video out - however if you're using DP 144Hz etc you're almost definitely going to be limited to recording on your PC. Honestly, if your rig is fast enough you shouldn't have any problems. Big...

advice needed on mITX or mATX liquid cooled cases.

I keep getting the urge to go ncase m1 but my realistic side kicks in. I figure all that heat = much more likely hardware failure. I've seen a lot of people with hardware failures, especially the air cooling guys. I worry about having m.2 on the back of the board just sandwiched between board...

Haha yeah that happened a few times in this game. Older games it was obvious as they'd go full CGI but nowadays they just use the same modeling for both, given the quality is there.

Given that 1080P is basically the minimum standard for desktops, why not laptops?

For gaming laptops resolution plays a big part. Heck, my 980Ti struggled Gsync 1440p with modern games (with strong settings, of course).

Worth upgrading Sager from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Depends on your usage, around the OS and surfing Windows 7 has been faster/snappier for me. Windows 10 is better for gaming now with DX12 etc in the pipeline, nvme support etc. point being is that I have the hardware that makes 10 a requirement. Considering the machines age, I'd just stay on 7...

Skip sound card and audio through HDMI video card?

Also, the sound honestly wasn't too bad from my TVs DAC. Its still processed through the STX Opamps I believe, I could be wrong though. I use Burson V5's.

That is correct AZN, just be sure to turn down the line in volume as if you test with it maxed out you could damage your speakers (Though, my AMP is 100% all the time and I use the STX to control the volume) if your speakers have a volume knob you can use that as well, though I recommend using...

Do all current TLC planar SSD suffer like the 840 EVO did?

DOOM!

Honestly I've not even touched the MP, the SP just blew me away. However, I wish the weapon mods were a bit better all around. I found myself sticking to the 'better' ones and not even needing the extra mods when I would find the robots.

Battlefield 4 went from a VGA to HDMI and now the refresh rate is 59.94Hz

HDMI is better quality than the VGA yeah? I had a monitor that I saw a color difference when making the switch. Now, if it was just the cable or implementation of the monitor that is up for debate.

Digital Converter boxes... in 2016?

I love my Bifrost 4490, you can buy one (B-Stock) from schiit for $349. That coupled with an Asgard 2 has been a very enjoyable experience for me. I use the HE-400i headphones, though my cheaper DT770 250's sounded good too. Honestly, audio is one of the best upgrades I've ever done to my PC

Doom (2016) Discussion

Mine has crashed a couple times on the random, but this honestly has been one of the best FPS games (SP) that I've EVER played. It was just a treat start to finish. That last boss fight though... it wasn't cinematic heavy but what the ending did have was flatout amazing.

X99 Motherboard which one should i buy?

980X Viability

I've got a R9 280X in a 4670K rig (only 4.2Ghz), no FPS dips at all at 1080p. Though, the new games are starting to bend that card to its knees at decent settings.

Here is how I do my setup. I also use an STX. Line out from TV (3.5MM to 1/4 adapter) into input of STX L/R out from STX to Amp/Speakers I enable always listening to the line in for the windows settings, adjust volume bar to something that isn't ear bleeding and use my keyboard sound buttons...
