Hmmm, since this is a rental....I'll go with the Status, unless the Camry is a V6. My dad has a 93 Camry V6 XLE and man can that thing go! You'll reach 100 mph in no time!
It also depends on the DVD player (HArdware, not software) I had a Philips DVD player and when I was watching Gladiator the 1 sec break was very noticable. I returned it and got a Pioneer VS-333 and tha 1 sec break ins barely noticable. :) Not sure about computer DVDs though....

I am going to get a new burner for Christmas. I currently have a Smart and Friendly 6x/4x/24x burner. It had served me well but I need something that burns faster (especially CDRWs) and has a bigger buffer. Is the Yamaha 8x/8x/24x burner any good? Thanks

My Bose sub is on the right front corner, right against the wall. I dont have the freedom to move my 10in sub to the left corner cause my wires suck. WIth regular RCA wires, theres a really annoying...
lol, I hear you pmark! Bose suck! They have no bass at all. But what do you expect from a passive sub? It has nice highs though....I go a great deal on the bose ($400). I couldn't resist!

To my knowledge, if you run no higher then 800x600, you wont benefit from the 32mb on a Video card. But, if you run higher than 1024, you will definitely benefit from the 32mb video memory
Also with only 16mbs on a video card, you cnat really run under 32bit color.
