Anyone use a graphics tablet?

I agree with gsaldivar as well...Wacom would be the way to go. I managed to get a used Wacom Graphire tablet for $20...it's the serial version, but still works great when I'm doing photo touchup, texture work, or just drawing.

hmmm...but the surge protector I was on was a Belkin surge protector...:/ Hence, my dire need for a battery backup ;) I know APC offers $XX,XXX amount of coverage for their products; does Belkin have the same offer?

dual booting win2k and freebsd

I'm trying to help my friend with a dual boot setup..he's installed win2k (ntfs) on one drive and freebsd on another drive. the istalls went fine, but the problem he's having is getting win2k's boot manager to locate freebsd. Anyone with any advice on this one? thanks in advance

switch into openGL mode...i find it's much nicer than Direct3d. well, that's my opinion anyways. I dunno if it'll help, though...but maybe. :)

i just had my credit card destroyed...someone's been billing n0rp sites with my credit card during the beginning of this month. *sigh*. now i have to try and remember a new credit card number. ...that's a bad sign, having memorized my number for online shopping. ew.

Mouse troubles in Win2k

My friend is having troubles with his mouse being detected in win2k...it's a usb mouse, but that had given him troubles, so he's using a ps2 converter. the thing is that whenever the mouse gets plugged in, the keyboard won't respond. any ideas? thanks in advance

I just installed win2k on my computer last week, and I had huge problems (much like yours) with my mx300. That chipset (Aureal's Vortex ones) isn't really supported by win2k, but I installed the latest ones found at www.windrivers.com. Look for the latest drivers they have for the Vortex2...

ZoneAlarm and Explorer

well, that's the thing...i dont' use windows explorer at all. it just asks that thing after windows starts up, and zonealarm kicks in. i could just ignore it, but i was wondering if it was just me that was getting that popup. thanks for your help, everyone! :)
