I don't know what I'm doing...

Thanks. I've decided to let my 7970 run at 1125MHz for bitmining due to better temps. With the flag you gave me, it gets 605 Mhash/s. How many bitcoins will I get a within a month's time if I ran this the majority ( 18/24hrs ) of the day?

Wow, and I just lowered the voltage to 1.23v and it remained stable. I tried 1.22v, and errors and symptoms of instability were occurring. I guess I got lucky with this chip! Thanks guys. :biggrin:

Okay, after running various tests in IBT and Prime95, I can safely say that at 1.24v my i5-3570k is stable at 4.7GHz. Is the amount of voltage that I am applying the normal range for this clock speed, too high or fortunately very low?

Is this a normal Cinebench score?

I will try that now. EDIT: Chip isn't throttling and it went up to 7.83 now. Guess it just fluctuates depending on the resource usage in the background.

Is this a normal Cinebench score?

Just recently upgraded to an i5-3570k from an i5-3450. It's overclocked to 4.8GHz currently at 1.28v.

Have you guys ever had this happen to you?

The PCB itself isn't warped, it's just that the weight of the entire unit causes it to sag downwards like you've said and disconnects some of the pins from the PCIe slot.

They hold it in place, but the disconnection seems to happen at the slight bend of the opposite end of the card near the PCIe power cables.

Hmmm, priorities. My earphones cost more than my PC. Look up the "Westone ES5". For the 1080p resolution that I play on, having a higher end GPU then my HD 7850 would be a waste since it runs all my games maxed out at above playable frame rates.

Non-K CPU's can't be overclocked?

You can, when my base clock was set too excessively high, my rig would either not boot past the Windows start screen, get into Windows and BSOD, GPU would perform poorly, or GPU wouldn't even show an image. The latter would need me to jump the CMOS to clear the BIOS settings.

Has been stable for 2 weeks like this. I'm not going to lie though, if I could go back in time, I'd just pick up a 2500k or 3570k, but this 3450 at 4.1ghz is not the bottleneck of my system, lol. :)
