FO4 pre-order conundrum...

If I am going to buy the game anyway and can get it at a good discount or some nice freebies then I will pre-order, I don't do it months in advance though. If I pre-order it's usually in the month before it releases.

Steam Summer Sale 2015 Official Whatcha Gonna Buy Thread

I played it and had a lot of fun with it, there are a lot of mods out there also that let you do more than the base game. It's a fun/challenging building/survive game.

Avoid Swiftech: False Advertising/Failure Killed my Chip/Neglect Ensues

I also just had a bad experience with them with an H240. In 6 months my window cracked, their forums showed I wasn't the only one. In order to send me a window that they sell for $5 and a bottle of solution to refill it they wanted me to tear down half my system due to tight fit and cabling...

GTA 5 to look way better on PC.

That would be the first place I looked, I have had mixed results with new game drivers for both AMD and nVidia. A lot of times I have to roll them back to get things to work.

GTA 5 to look way better on PC.

Play for about 1/2 hour last night at 1440 and didn't have any issues. Frame rate stayed maxed with vsync running two 970's in SLI and a i7-4790k. Game seems like it's going to be fun.

Why did Demo's for PC games die?

or they became totally broken released games to let us beta test after paying full price. Like others have said, we now pay to beta test or we get a horrible game at release that has to be fixed.

GTA V: Steam version or retail version?

I remember the days when I HAD to have a box in my hand. The last box version of a game I bought was WoW I think. This helps make the decision though, no cap.

I don't understand the aversion to Origin anymore. It used to be a mess (just like Steam at release) but I have zero issues with it and it's just as easy to use as Steam.

This site loves to nit pick anything they can find. I wish devs would spend more time on game play and less on graphics. The "OH SHINY" crowd is forcing devs to spend more time on resources on dimishing returns for video when they could increase the game world, add more things to do, and more...

GOG launches "Reclaim your games--DRM FREE"

I don't think Steam games qualify, but fallout 3 requires some file editing to get it to work on Steam (at least it used to.)

Your gaming PC ... did you build it or purchase it pre-built?

Buy the time you buy a pre-built then buy a PSU and GPU you could have built a MUCH better system from scratch. You will always get better parts and a better machine when you build vs buy for the same cost.

Ultima Underworld games getting a sequel

They are $60K short right now with 8 days left. If it fails to meet the goal and they don't proceed with the game I am assuming the backers money is gone and there is no refund in situations like this.

GTX 970/980 owners thread

I just got off the phone and newegg offered me 10% back in store credit, I asked for further options and was then offered full return for in store credit, I pressed further and they are giving me a full RMA to my card. Now what cards to replace them with!
