Just used the included DVI cable and this seems to work as well...Also noticed when I'm using HDMI everything seems to flash in an odd manner. Any chances it could just be a bad HDMI cable?

Well, went ahead and bought the IPS monitor. Figured I'd be sacrificing a little on the size, but I can't see 0.6" inches being a deal breaker. Also don't think I'll be able to notice 3ms difference in response time.

Overclocking a 7870

Several sites say they were able to get their memory clock up to 5.4 ghz, but the OC utility only goes up to 1450 MHz. Is this value mutliplied by 4 or something to get the value they are getting in their benchmarks?

Overclocking a 7870

So I was able to get my card's core clock OC'd to 1250 Hz and the memory clock to 1450 Hz and it seemed to run stably. I tried it at 1300 first and ran Kombustor and it failed. Tried it with 1250 and it ran for over 2 minutes at 98% load and 67 degrees C. Is this around what most people can get...

Overclocking a 7870

Can someone tell me where I could find the latest version of Direct X 11. I'm trying to run it and keep getting this error: DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE. Someone told me that I need to update to the latest drivers for my GPU and ensure I have the most recent update for DX11.

Ok cool, that's what I figured. I have another question as well. I have a top mounted fan and a back fan like any other case. Should both of these fans be set to exhaust to get heat out, or should I have the top one set to intake. In the event I get another fan for the front of the case...

Well I pulled the trigger on the MSI deal on Newegg for the 7950...just couldn't convince myself to spend $50-70 less for the 7850 or 7870 for that big of a drop in performance. Plus, the three free games was attractive too. Just disappointed that Amazon didn't have it in stock to get 3.99...
