Tegra is junk but nVidia's latest T4 is expensive as well as late.
Even if Google wanted T4 nVidia wouldn't have been ready and the N7 would still be in the labs testing various ways to keep the dog of a SOC cool without a fan.

I'm running ARHD and have played around with custom kernels, back to the stock one right now.
Doesn't take away from the fact Tegra 3 is a joke.

Its never going to happen every iPhone and IOS game has been nicely optimised for PowerVR architectures it would make 0 sense for Apple to change GPU supplier and have 80% of IOS games on the market run terribly on an Nvidia.

What is Far Cry 3 like on consoles in comparison to the PC ? Hopefully its just an isolated problem? Dice did a good job pushing upgrades with BF3 so I'm expecting to be blown away with BF4.
Tegra has so much potential as a HTC One X owner I can honestly say that THD games are the best looking on mobile devices I have used and most run at very fluid frame rates. The power saving core Is genius as the phone only loses like 4% charge overnight so over 8 hours or so.

It matters to me and may matter to other gamers that don't have the money to upgrade every year and know that they can squeeze a little more performance out of the 7800 series with an overclock + the advantages of a 258 bit memory bus.

No but I think future games will run better on a 7850 / 7870 than the 660/ ti because the nvidia cards lack memory bandwidth. Future games are going to tax these cpu with high res textures even at 1080p ect.
The point I was trying to make is the 7850/70 may last a whole upgrade cycle longer...
All the midrange cards can do 1920 * 1080 with 4* MSAA, by your logic we shouldn't bother finding out which card can go faster / offer the best value or is more future proof because it's only a midrange card and knowone wants 8* MSAA or higher resolutions.. Get Real.
