    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

Listen, I`d rather have you listen, and correct your assumption on latency and jitter. Imagine if your computer could do instant videophone, like a cellular. That proves it is possible to do low-latency long-distance communication. Bufferbloat on the internet is the same problem. So you know...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

I think it`s going to be a little bit of a computing judgement day to many. Imagine the bitchface when he realizes all those services and misconfigs, are what he defends, and it is completely wrong, and this he means people shall buy, and himself. It is going to get extremely hard to defend that...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

Some people obviously have big thoughts of themselves, and persist in claiming that they help, when indeed they are doing nothing but the most mindless of obscuration of facts. It`s like telling the guy who is driving his porche, no no no, this Lada engine is better. "we are trying to help"...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

Since this seems to represent such a leap in thought, you really should make a small partition, 10GB will do, install Windows XP on it, and a good game for testing, such as HL2, which you can get on steam. XP has the lowest DPC latency. Do the tweak, and realize how good it is, and have a great...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

You can do the tweak yourself and do a "screenshot". And if lower DPC latency improves "microstutter" 5uS should really help with that aswell. An argument used in the "microstutter" debate, is variation in "frametime". Variation in frametime is reduced with lower DPC latency. Peace Be With You.

At this point I should have detailed this to the extent that, advising against now, would really be a cottaging-activist, trying to talk morals to a religious man. - And thus ignored.

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

Ok this thread has proven completely useless. It is on par with "certified ms engineers" who recommend not turning off services. Getting advice on hardware for lowest timing jitter, should prove to be the most difficult thing. I mean when you touch a subject like this, and want something...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

As I just posted elsewhere, it seems that jitter is known on windows as "microstutter". And Battlefield 3 measures it as "frametime". So, having set some attention on it, hopefully there will come attention and benchmarks on it, for linux aswell. Obviously a whole lot of people need to be...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

"Microstuttering" seems to be another name for "jitter" yes. Timing jitter starts with the clock, which is accurate to some degree. Then many other clocks are again derived of it, and resolution less, and that goes in stages, and in buffers, and into the OS, where new clocks may again be...

Says somewhere that e5-2603 has "slow ram"? Anyway, I am going to do the research on my own. Chime in if there is any latency/low jitter experts :) Peace Be With You.

In g.skill forum they liked this psu: Corsair AX 850W PSU So so far, it will be fastest quad g.skill memory , corsair AX 850W, Intel Xeon E5-2603 4cores,1.8ghz. Probably z77 chipset mainboard, and asus has some nice automatic o/c on some boards. Maybe an Asus E5 board.

I`ve started to gather a bit information on my own. It`s been some time since I built a PC actually. Anyway ok.. frequency of RAM, seems important. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/lga2011-ddr3_6.html#sect0

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

I think you should just try it, the results will be obvious. Instead of 5ms latency in windows, 1ms latency audio is stable. Instead of choppy HL2, ultrasmooth HL2. Unfortunately most people don`t measure framejitter. If you write to OpenGL, which is the fastest graphics system, just writing...

Ok, incase I didn`t make this clear, this is not the feedback I am looking for. Either provide information on topic, or avoid posting. I am looking for LOWJITTER hardware, for highest busspeeds, highest/fastest ram timings etc, etc. Enthusiast/overclocking view appreciated. I want the DATA...

Lol, you will not believed how many who does not understand what I am doing :) People generally think the system isn`t sensitive to microseconds, but it is. In the audioworld, you have the concept "psychoacoustics". Small changes in sound, that alters how you percieve it. That is indeed, many...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

Well jitter does start with the clock ofcourse, but we don`t need to use a million bucks for specifically tailored hardware. The industry is already at a point where low-latency, and jitter is considered, for instance in low-latency trading, which has some of the lowest latency figures I have...

For instance, if you know about good h/w, for this consideration, please help me fill in :) Cooling: low noise. Power: sufficient, quiet. Mainboard: Z77 chipset based? Must support PCIe3.0 in Xeon-E5, and USB 3.0 CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2603 4cores,1.8ghz. DDR3 RAM: fastest 4GB SSD ...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

I have been tuning OS lately, and it seems to be sensitive to even small jitter. So I want to reduce it as much as possible. I am aware though, that one can write directly to the hardware. Unfortunately no mainstream OS uses programming this way anymore. Definately one could tune up OS`s and use...

    Low-jitter/low-latency hardware.

I am going to build a new PC. I want the cheapest possible PC, with regards to low-jitter/low-latency. So it will be based on Intel E5. The cheapest E5 is 2603. If anyone is "jitter-aware" and know good components with minimal jitter, (cheap low-latency ram, etc) please recommend it here...

    48 samples latency.

I summed this up here: http://paradoxuncreated.com/Blog/wordpress/?p=1783 This actually gives 1ms latency in XP, on typical boxes. (mac mini requires the hack.) I also have a low-jitter kernel for ubuntu, which I am constantly tweaking. http://paradoxuncreated.com/Blog/wordpress/?p=2268...

    Neil Armstrong Attacked By Supremacists

Hiya, I just registered, and what do I see? Very ignorant posts about Islam. Jihadwatch is not a serious site. And as many atheists claim, Islam is not in conflict with Logic. However as any educated person, who with complete honesty can say that he as looked at the facts, read the Quran, seen...

What is the "frame rate" of a human eye?

I did some research on this once myself, and it did support the earlier research, that shows 72fps to be the rate with "minimal psychovisual noise". I further tuned that to 72.734hz. Which is what my monitor is running at now. Very still and quiet, and non-noisy. If you have an Nvidia...

    48 samples latency.

I have managed to make my windows XP, in bootcamp run at 48 samples latency. However the method is little graceful at the time. I was wondering if anyone who knows the ins and outs of windows, know if they can achieve the same effect, without moving a window, as I am using in the technique, to...
