I've used afterburner, and its showing me correct numbers without crashing once so far! thanks for the tip.
One more question. If I am going for undervolting, shouldn't power limit be at (-5%)? why do other undervolting people still use (+15%)?
I currently have MSI z490m with i5100600kf which limits me (performance wise) to pcie 3.0 (4.0 requires a 11 series cpu).
Anyway I need to get more storage mostly for games and should I get SSD at half the price or NVME for performance? from the reviews I found, the performance gain seems to...
Thanks, I didn't know afterburner also works with amd.
Yeah, basically it loads up strange values for oc setting upon boot up, everything at default oc. not the undervolt value i saved and applied.
also in overlay, half the time it gets stuck on desktop value and does not update in game. (RDR2)
Finally upgraded to 6700XT but I find Adrenaline quite buggy, often the information overlay is not working or the OC settings are not applied properly after reboot.
Are there any alternatives?
the the GPU prices are still insane. What's more alarming is that now people are getting getting comfortable getting a gpu for $500 even for mainstream level. Thanks god damn useless miners.
even if they dont do jack, Jensens marketing team has done it again, look at all the excitement over the cards and I am pulled right back into having hope to buy one again. Jensen you slimey sales master you.
update, Got the 10600kf with New MSI z490 Pro board.
Initial test shows easy OC @ 5.1ghz with 1.275v and 1avx.
Would I gain much from overclocking DDR4 with this cpu? I have Corsair vengeance RGB pro 8x2 gb set and its running fine at XMP 3200 16c. Says C-die Hynix , am I out of luck...
Someone offered a used 10600kf (cpu only) for $160. would this be a better path than AMD 3700x or 5600x (more money)?
I would need to get mobo and ram as well.
I mostly game at 1440p and just some video editing with premiere pro and bit of vray.
It's not just the CPU, but motherboard and Ram that will boost overall performance. You shouldn't just look at the cpu but consider motherboard and ram cost as well.
i would suggest 3700x Ryzen , it will give you a good boost at good value. and you can upgrade to 5800x or 5700x down the road.
I am super interested on very high OC the rx6000 series are showing, but in the games its not showing much gains at all , can anyone have a theory on this?
Can this be improved once the drivers are updated?
Ok, Ill try them too,
its really an odd issue. When I first got this, I actually removed old HDD and DVD drive and upgraded with blank SSD AND HDD. And used internet recovery fine.
But I think in the process of installing bootcamp, something must have changed. No matter what key combo or...
I hope a mac expert can answer few questions I have.
I have a 27" late 2009 Imac (i5 , 8gb , ssd ) that I've upgraded in the past and have been using well.
Recently with additional computer requirement at home, I've decided to try bootcamp and try to install Windows 10 on it.
I've found out...
Just picked up a 32" 144hz monitor and now i feel its time to update my gtx1060.
Right now I can get 1080gtx and 2060RTX at same price, which would be better?
All the reviews show 1080gtx being faster, but would I really miss out rtx features in the future?
thanks guys.
as much fun Grid was, Gran Turismo still holds a soft spot in my heart. I still prefer GT4's system. (and amount of cars :D).
but I can't wait to try Grid2.
