Which PCI slot for promise controller on KT7?

Anyone have experience with this? I'm doing it for someone else who wants to add a Zip Drive. SBLive is in slot 3 NIC is in slot 4

KT7A Overclocking

MCS, My setup is just like yours. I have it set at 10x130 = 1300 and it runs really nice! (3D Mark at 8000) Other settings I tried with higher fsb (140) was a little tougher on agp and heat and 10x133 won't even boot. This is pretty cool like it is but this is my first time overclocking and...

Yeah there's alot of material on the subject! Look at my specs. You can see I've done SOME homework. If it was a 60.00 Duron, I would not be so hesitant. You are right though, I should be grateful that it runs Rock Solid now!

Help me overclock this Tbird/KT7A

Yeah I tried 1.85 and I/O 3.50 at 8.5 x 140 but it was too hot. I need somebody to walk me thru this on the phone man. I REALLY Don't want to toast this thing.

Doh! We Posted at the same time! I was trying to bump the post up. Thanks Sentinel. Default voltage is 1.75, I/O 3.40 All my ram settings ar maxed at present.

Help me overclock this Tbird/KT7A

Hey! This is my first time. Please help me out here! My 1.2 GHz came unlocked from the factory. I'm using a FOP32-1 with Artic Silver and a DTS400 shim I have 2 Sunon case fans at 42 cfm. And a Blue Orb on the NB. I set it at 9 x 133 (1198.01) Default voltage It idles at 30c (like 37c at...

Are people having trouble with 1.2ghz tbird posting on 133fsb?

Mine 1.2 TBird just came in last night. It's unlocked. I need some advice because it's my first time overclocking. I put a Blue Orb on the NB, lapped the HSF and used Artic Silver. My temps are chipset 21, case 22 and cpu at 28 idle 41 after two games of Quake3 online. What's my next move?

This is a little confusing to me. I set up Motheboard Monitor 5 to most of the defaults so, on a KT7 the Temp readings are (I think): From left to right - chipset (black)/case (red)/cpu (blue) - Is this right? The voltage readings are just goofy. Should I get some kind of shutdown proggie...

Where can I get ram sinks for CL GeForce 2 GTS?

Thanks dude. I ended up getting the 2 Blue Orbs and the Artic Silver epoxy from highspeedpc.com and the ramsinks from 2CoolTek.com Nerdsbyte is out of the ramsinks Millisec wants 2.50 ea for ramsinks 2CoolTek will only sell Artic Silver as part of a "cooling package"

Where can I get ram sinks for CL GeForce 2 GTS?

Everywhere I got they are sold out or have wrong size. No one place did I find that you could get a Blue Orb, Artic Silver epoxy and ram sinks too. So I ordered the epoxy and the Blue Orb. Anyone?

Thanks, but I'm lookin for a "value" board. It doesn't need onboard sound or video or a 133 fsb. I'm not sure of the chipset I'm thinking of, I don't know Intel stuff. She only surfs and chats and burns cd's from napster. NOT a gamer. So am I thinking of a slot 1? BX? I dunno.

should i wait for 1.2 athlon with 266 mhz front bus or get 200mhz version for abit kt7a-raid?

If you read the reviews (KT7A), you will see that they are all done on 100 FSB TBirds and run at up to 148 Mhz depending on the memory used, some on unlocked 1 GHz, and some on 1.2 GHz. Many people are finding that the 1.2 GHz are shipping "Unlocked". The 266 FSB will be available...
