SSD installed but no performance gain

Hmm that is strange, disk management says that boot is on the old drive, how do I change this? Also, I did not connect to the SATA 3 port :p Although I heard thos eMarvell controllers are not good anyhow... I'm on rev. 2.0

AHCI wont boot help!

They are hooked into the SATA controllers, and use Intel drivers. Apart from making AHCI work i wonder which ones are preferable, SATA or GSATA... CORRECTION: It works when I change PCH SATA back to IDE, GSATA doesn't make a difference.

AHCI wont boot help!

AHCI on a Gigabyte Mobo

I'll be transferring my OS. This will also enable hot swapping correct? Do I need to set these settings to anything specific, or any BIOS options for hot swaps? Enable Write Caching - Yes/No Turn off Windows Write-Cache Buffer Flushing - Yes/No Hopefully these settings won't be detrimental...

I see two options in the bios: PCH SATA CONTROL MODE: IDE, RAID, AHCI GSATA CONTROL MODE: IDE, AHCI I don't know which one(s) do what and which one sI should enable for AHCI mode for my new SSD?
