Athlon 64 3000+ to 4200+ X2 with OC?

How about an even SILLIER question? I have an Athlon 64 4000+ (socket 939), and was looking to max out my motherboard. It takes up to an Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Toledo (:(), however I can't find those on the Internet for less than $300. So, for $70, is it worth it to go from a 4000+ to a 4200+...

Just OC'd my Radeon; how high can I go and be safe?

How much you can overclock depends on the chip quality. Some people can hit 220, some can only hit 190. It depends on many factors. The best thing to do is start increasing the speed by a few MHz and rebooting. Then play some games and look for either random graphical glitches...

I would like to know how I install W2K on the D: drive, since I am using a SCSI and IDE RAID setup...

When you run the win2k install from dos, at the bottom of the screen, it will say something like "Press F6 to install SCSI RAID controller drivers" or something like that. So right when you run setup, look for that message, then click F6. Then you'll have to install the drivers with...

Request opinions on the best web video camera, including quality/cost ratio

Probably the 3com webcams are the best right now. Problem is that most webcams nowadays run on USB, which only allows a 30fps max frame rate. Webcam and "good image quality" are not pairable. All webcams I've seen are "descent" photos, normal quality, a bit blurry.

ATI Radeon sdr pci comming soon!!!

Being that its PCI, it shouldnt really affect performance much I'd think. Theres not a noticable difference in speed between AGP and PCI. So the PCI SDR card should perform about the same as the AGP SDR card

Voodoo5 modified into a Workstation Graphics card.

I dont know what you guys are talking about... I have a radeon, and its fast. Granted, not as fast as your nvidia cards...but the consellation prize is that my games look 10x better than yours do :)

Unstable Radeon Win2K Drivers?!?!?! Grrrrr......

Yeah, its the drivers. The earliest win2k drivers were garbage. You need the latest betas. Mine are rock solid (3092's). They could still use alot of work, but the system is stable. You need to first uninstall the drivers from control panel/add remove programs. Dont restart. Then open up...

New Radeon Drivers

New Radeon Drivers

I can vouch for Taz. They are leaked. "A person" leaked them to me, and I uploaded them to rage3d.com. The Win2k drivers are version 3092. The Admin at rage3d is trying to find a place to host them. I imagine they will be up today...but maybe later. I have them on my machine now...

Diamond Stealth AGP and ATI All-In-Wonder PCI. Will they work together?

I tried this years ago with a Diamond Stealth 64 and an ATi All-In-Wonder 8MB. Both PCI. I tried to hook up dual monitors. For some reason, it would initialize, but the 2nd monitor would never come up. ??

Get rid of Radeon's wimpy heatsink!
