dcdomain--I believe it's because they're trying to focus on fewer markets to get to profitability more quickly.. as it stands now, they're projecting profitability in 2 or 3rd quarter 2001....most analysts had pegged us at about 2nd or 3rd quarter 2002....we'lll have to see how it all plays out...

sampo dvd players are quite awesome actually... I'm the one who bugged the Electronics store guy to finally get more of those puppies in stock... they have component video out, svideo out, play mp3 cds, vcds, and best of all, using a menu system you can switch region checks.... so...

5 DOTD: Gameboy 59.99; Kodak Webcam 49.99; the rest are junk

heh...I programmed the new DOTD system.. :) no more inaccurate product quanity counts, should list the correct item now at almost midnight PST sharp, allows for multiple items to be up on a day, for an item to last more than one day... lot more robust than the last system.. we'll see how long...

hmmm.... very very interesting..... however you're getting this data, I know for a fact that you can't be getting it from the actual system databases.....we enter the DOTDs on a weekly rotation, so there's still one item left for tomorrow that has to cycle through before the next batch of 7...

To clear up the DOTD vs clearance SKU thing... all clearance SKUs are NOT deal of the days. BUT all DOTDs ARE clearance SKUs. Because of this relationship, yes, you can take any clearnace SKU and pop it into the DealOfTheDay.asp file and it'll seem to work. You'll check out, all is good...
