Canterwood owners- how's the onboard sound?

Well for the most part they are great, especially those based on the via envy chiset. I can only find one negative thing... The lack of EAX support, which you need a creative card for as it's their tech. EAX DO make a difference in many games.... Else their good or great, depending on which...

2.8C, IS7, and temps

I've both the alpha and the SLK900U. Both is great coolers, but the SLK900 is definitively the best one. SLK900 + 92mm fan = GREAT performance with low noise, think it will even beat the Zalman 7000.....

Why can't I overclock this P4????

Set memory voltage to 2,75V Try first 2,5-3-3-7 memory timings And set all performance settings to auto instead of turbo. Then overclock and se how far you'll come. Personally I'll give a P4C voltages up to 1,65 volts...but not more. start with 1,55V and oc and then feed it with more and more...

P4P800-D HSF?

I'll recommend the Thermalright SLK900U. It fits this board perfect and is a hell of a cooler.... Remeber to buy a nice 92mm fan for it ;)

Is P4C's from philippines less overclockable?

I'm running my meme at 2,5-3-3-8 so thaty should not be the problem. Same problem with both memory types I tested as well. So it seems to be the CPU...

Is P4C's from philippines less overclockable?

PC3700 RAM - Let's discuss

I saw some 256Mb sticks (Transcend original for use with fujitsu-siemens computers) with Hynix 4,3ns memory. But for a reason these were only certified for PC3200 at CAS 3, yep CAS 3!! For me Hynix have normally had good chips for overclocking....to bad I did not have the ability to test these...

Old P4 2.0A hitting 2,67Ghz possible with air cooling?

No luck. 2060MHz is the highest I could go. It will go higher but one of my IDE controllers craps out at higher fsb's Hoped for 133 FSB(PCI not overclocked then) but that was a no-go at any voltage up to 1,75V

Do pack date matter? As long as the chip in the pack is old...... Any more thoughts? Getting the alpha cooler tomorrow. And then heehee........ :P

My Iiyama pro 450 monitor is failing, recommend a good new one.

I looked for the Samsung 900NF but could only find the 959NF and only the version without the extra BNC connector :( Any more recommandations? Or maybe I shoud get the crazy sized samsung 1200NF for $800 + shipping, compared to most other 21" and 22" monitors it's not that bad. :D What's up...

1.2 axia will not reach 1.4 help

I've an old, week 52 2000, BVHA stepping 1,2GHz/200MHz FSB CPU that won't go past 1260.....well sometimes life sucks.... I've tried everything, voltage mods, new BIOSES and so on, still a no go.

You've to remember that this one of the most selling harddrives, se even with a low failure rate, many drives would fail bvecause there is so many sold.

I'm also here!!!! I'm using OC bios v1.0B16. But it looks like my 1,2GHz athlon is crappy. I'm using Taisol and Arctic Silver. 1300 was stable for a long time. now 1260 is enough........

All TDK veloCD 16/10/40 = plextors?

TDK 12/10/32 = Plextor 12/10/32 = Uses some parts from sanyo. TDK 16/10/40 = Sanyo 16/10/40 Memorex 12/10/32 = Lite-on 12/10/32 = ??? IOmega 12/10/32 = The old is plextors the later is Sanyo.
