Should I keep the rMBP I just ordered?

I agree. 802.11 AC should definitely be in the Haswell model. Earlier this year there was reports that Apple signed on with Broadcom to put the AC chipsets in the upcoming notebook line so makes sense. This is only true though if you have a AC router as well.

To be quite honest, I would simply return it and wait for Haswell. Haswell seems like its where you want to be with the Retina MacBook Pro Line. Haswell is what Apple really wanted to put in this notebook in the first place but Intel just couldn't get it done in time. I have a Early 2013 2.7...

I doubt we will see any AMD hardware in the 2013 Haswell version. To be honest, any GPU upgrade will be with Nvidia for the next several years in my opinion.

Mine is doing just fine. Since the cover glass has been removed, the glare has gone down significantly honestly I don't even know I'm using a glossy display its that nice.

Bare minimum for kitchen and FaceTime MacBook?

Why not just go with an iPad? It is more than capable of doing FaceBook and FaceTime with ease. Plus it is obviously more portable that a Laptop. If you are dead set on a Mac purchase, I would just go with the base MacBook Air. You could probably find some good cheap ones from a few years back...

New iPhone release date?

I would put my money on an August release date for iPhone 5S. That seems to be line with the rumors and honestly seems to be in line with logical positioning for a release of that product line.

I have never taken apart the screen but it seems like the backlight is out. I would just see what the minimum he/she is willing to take for the machine and then go get it taken care of.

Guys, post the iPhone case you are using here!

I still use the Free Speck case from when the iPhone 4 had "antenna-gate" issue. Whenever it breaks, I just go into an apple store and they give me a free replacement. Its like I have gone thru 8 cases for free and haven't never even paid for a case ever. Its actually a pretty sweet deal.

OS X 10.8.3 update arrives

Unfortunately, most of the Apple Retail stores won't have the machines updated to 10.8.3 for a few days. I guess they are under strict protocol for updating the floor models, oh well. BUt from what I've seen, most of the issues that users seem to be complaining about have been fixed.

Finally. This is definitely the most anticipated update since the release of the Retina MacBook Pro. It seems to have fixed 99% of the issues everyone was complaining about. Scrolling issues, UI issues, Fan Speed irregularity issues, FPS issues, everything. Very well done Apple.

Will Apple launch iPhone 5s in this year?

I believe Apple will launch the iPhone 5S around August/September for sure. Every year they come out with a newer upgraded iPhone so it makes perfect sense that they would. I mean there really isn't a reason not too.

I think most people have said to go with the 512. The 256 is just too small unless you plan to NEVER leave your desk and have some sort of external drive attached for additional storage. I personally have the 512 which is plenty of space for Mac and Windows Partitions plus data and left over...

@ Steel, you could but I would rather just get the upgraded CPU and SSD inside rather than external tethered storage. The price difference isn't that big when you consider everything else that comes with it. Just my personal opinions.

Good work Atty! I have the exact same model and I can tell you man it is very much worth the money. I also though used the school discount and saved $200 plus I also ordered mine to my friends house in New Hampshire where there is no Sales Tax. :) SO in total I actually saved about 380 dollars...
