Forgot the salesperson's name but all of them seemed really nice.
I've only just skimmed the thread but I've read enough posts about bad experiences at Econowireless. I opened up a T-Mobile account with them 1.5 years ago before all this "$150 credit for opening another line" business and they were great. When the contract was over (couple months ago), I...
In my opinion, the new king at Carl's Jr. is the Grilled Onion Bacon Cheeseburger. They have a promo on their site. $1 off the burger. Expires 7/20. Should probably be in it's own thread. =)
$1 off coupon

<< ATI makes the 128 AIW now and it sounds bad arse. >>
i wouldn't go that far... my ATi rage 128 AIW isn't that great now, back in its day sure... ;)
not too bad.. i bought mine for 169 a few years ago :D >>
I think he was talking about the Radeon 8500 128MB AIW, not the AIW 128. =)
Definitely cut out the whole hole and get a grill...in my opinion, drilled little holes will not let in as much air as a grill and you don't want that...unless you do...like if it's just for looks or something...cuz 60mm fan?
At tolerable noise levels, you will only get like 30 cfm and you can...
If you have a dremel already, just use that with a cutting disc. Might be slower than those holecutting bits for a drill but it's supposed to be neater and you can make your own shape. =)
For those who don't have a tracking number yet but it says shipped/in stransit, I stole this from the other Dell WD thread:
<< << TIP FOR THOSE NEEDING TRACKING:
It takes Dell forever to put the tracking # on their web page, so do the following:
- Call 1-800-624-9897
- Wait a sec...
- Press 4...
Sorry I don't have pics or anything but I have an 80mm fan on my SK6 and it's pretty easy. Just turn the fan 45 degrees so it's a diamond on top of your heatsink. And then use the wires to hug onto the corners of the fan that are sticking out.
People have posted pictures in this forum...don't...

<< Mine shipped Friday.... I should have it soon! :) >>
Mine too! >>
Did you guys get a tracking number for those that shipped on Friday? I never got a confirmation, just acknowledgement, but I searched for orders under my customer number and it shows that mine shipped on Friday too...
<< Not to mention OEMs can go for around $150. And some OEMs (like OC Systems) will guarantee your card will hit at least 275/275, same as retail, currently at $155.) >>
I was like "$150?! Where! I want!" but you're thinking about the 8500 non DV. This is the All In Wonder model...
None left at Fountain Valley. Went last night and the CSRs were being poopheads. They said they didn't do rainchecks or anything else that would allow me to get the case at the sale price.
Since when did CompUSA not do rainchecks? I couldn't convince the. =( Anyone know of a So Cal CompUSA...
<< I got a ball bearing model and im not gonna bother switching it out since i would have to open the new one anyways to check and its only a .3dba difference. >>
Unfortunately, I got a ball bearing model too but the difference is actually .3 bels, not decibels. And 10 decibels make a bel so...
<< What did you use as a conductor. The problem with that paint, was that I couldn't get any to go on with the needle. I would dip the needle in the paint and then try to put it on and it seemed too thin. I couldn't get enough to stick to the needle. Then if I let it thicken a little, as...
PM'ed my drive today. The girl there was definitely trying to ruin the deal for me. She said she had to refund my other drive and re-ring up the drive at the new price so she needed authorization from a manager every step of the way because of the refund. And then she kept telling everyone...
<< Camera can't shoot 640x480, I believe.
If you want to get your order over $400, try adding something cheap - like a CD-R or something.
Sony CD-R, 65 cents >>
The camera is $399.00 so you need something at least $1 =( The next cheapest things are ribbons for $1.45.
My S330 got delayed to 5/3 as well. =(
Ordered the night of 3/29 but made the mistake of not making sure my shipping address (different from billing) was added to my Amex Blue so the cc verification didn't happen till Monday. =(
Wish it were for reals...site shows the normal 7500 for the same price. Wonder if you can AMEX PM it...
Edit: Checked the online ordering site and it shows up as $175.
Is the 10 day coupon a fake? We shouldn't take advantage of it if it is...plus the employees probably know the dates that the coupon is valid.
If it's not fake, then yeah! I can't make it to an outlet during the weekdays so the 10 days would be great.
<< As far as signal quality, I'm experiencing *very* sporadic behavior w/ the DWL-650 from a room away. Most times, WXP reports the signal strength as "low" or "very low," but sometimes the signal appears to drop completely. In WXP, this results in annoying connect/disconnect status messages...
<< Heads up!!!! to anyone shopping at the Tustin Microcenter.
6PM on 2/7
I saw 5 DWL-500 open box marked to $79.96!!! So minus $50 rebate then its only 29.96.
I dont live near there so dont ask me to get them. But they may still be there if youre local. >>
Just picked up the last two! =)...
<< If you want to do the 80mm trick, you really need a fan with 42CFM or more. A 42 will raise your temps probably 2-3 degrees. A 52 will keep you about the same as a delta screamer. A 28? <shudder> >>
Why do you need 42CFM or more? Isn't the Delta a 38CFM fan? I'm using an 80mm Sunon...
:Q They pricematched the after rebate price?! Anyone else have luck with this?
What newspaper is the ad found in? Today's or the weekend's?
Don't forget to use your Amex Blue and PM to lowest price at Pricewatch for ~$90 to get $10 back. =)
Hey guys, finally got my rear window defogger repair kit and did my first L1 bridging last night. It was somewhat of a success...I can now do whole number multipliers (ie. 10.0, 11.0, 12.0) but the halves just round down (ie. 11.5 = 11.0). =(
Anyone else experience this? I was thinking that...
<< What is it originally sold for anyway? >>
It's supposed to be for drawing those grids on your rear window for the defogger. It's electrically conductive ink to draw lines for your defogger to heat up. Right? =P
I did ask for a repair kit, guess I should've been clearer. I've seen what everyone's using so I called at least 10 places today asking "Excuse me, do you have a rear window defogger repair kit?" And all of them didn't know what it was and I explained to them or they just said they didn't have...
There's no Sears Hardware near me and I called Lowes and they don't have it either. I'm gonna go to one of the Pep Boys I called just to make sure they don't have it. And also to a Sears and check out their hardware dept (does that count as Sears Hardware?). Also gonna check out another...
No luck. I tried calling several Pep Boys and Jiffy Lubes and no go. Also, is what's Discount Auto? The only thing I found for it is a chain in the Southeast US. I'm in CA. =(
Any more suggestions?
Have you tried feeling your heatsink while it was running? (Be careful) Does it feel hot? If it isn't, then the heat from the cpu isn't transferring to it. If it is hot, the fan isn't doing it's job.
Hey guys,
Been running around town trying to look for a rear window defogger kit to unlock my cpu. Been to an AutoZone and Kragen's. Also tried Walmart but no luck. I've seen pictures of it online but I can't find it. Is the one from Permatex the only one available?
Also, if I can't get...
Wow, I was about to start a new thread about this problem too until I read it. I spent 5 hours troubleshooting my new 1700+ the other day and finally realized the heatsink wasn't making contact. I was wondernig why I got 70C+ at 100Mhz FSB and I couldn't even get far into bootup at 133Mhz. I...
