Please help me troubleshoot my motherboard.

There is a power management setting in the BIOS that allows you change how the computer reacts when power to the computer is lost and restored. Ususally Power On or Stay Off. Essentially the computer believes it the power has been lost and restored when you turn on and off the surge protector.

Refund of postage on Estamp electronic vault (from free HP Deal)!

I will be out of postage before the end of the anyway, so it does not matter if they don't want to refund the unused free postage. Anyway the refund comes from the USPS not from E-stamp. They already sent money to the USPS when you activate your account and any time that you buy postage from them.

Setting up a network? Help

I agree with daniel, use windows 98 as your proxy server. You will not need a router, but you will need a hub. I like WinProxy as a proxy server, it has a firewall built in to the software. You can then set up the Win2K computers to connect thru the proxy server.

What kind of network are you setting up. 10base-t,100base-t, etc. Also what is the model and type of your dsl router. I also imagine that you are setting up a peer to peer network, so no one computer controls the network.

Win98SE drive letter assignment question(2 hard drives, 1 partitioned)

Partition new hard drive as an extended partition and then it will become E. Your original 20GB hard drive letters will stay the same.
