Can my GF's work do this?

YMMV, but here in the Commonwealth of Tax, er, Massachusetts, if you ARE NOT managment, your employer must pay you for hours worked over 40. They are quite particular on what constitues managment also. Perhaps a dime dropped to the local labor board would cause things to change....

WHY do some states make you have two license plates...one for the front and one for the back?

Folks, you are missing the point: follow the money. The nice stormtrooper, er statetrooper needs a nice shiney, highly reflective area on your car to paint with the income produceing, er insurance surchargeing, (dang, I'll get this right yet...) er, Safety enhanceing [yea, thats the trick]...

anyone having this wierd problem with IE? I think it had something to do with kazaa, allthough i cant besure

I have a stranger one---normaly after I view a link, the font changes color, as it should. Intermitintly, it will not change. I havn't added or removed anything, the problem persists after coutless reboots. The problem will go away by itself, it just takes a few weeks to do so. I'm running...

Do THEATERS play movies TOO loud?? (was originally: BHD & other movies just TOO loud??)

The main problem today is the dynamic range. In the bad old days, the sound was restricted to what the two clear little lines on the side of the film could deliver--today, most sound comes from synced CD sound, pumped out of 15" woofers---many more dB's of range. True story: We had a 70mm...

ever had computer damaged through shipping?

We stoped useing UPS at work after about a dozen monitors came in encased in spheres---all 8 corners of the boxes bashed in. Idiots in recieving signed for them, even though there was parts hanging outside of the box, and shall we say, they failed the rattle test. Fed-Ex for us!

The tunnel was easy--they sank it in sections. The hard part, and the reason the Ted is still restricted to comm. vehicles is that the ends of the tunnel ARE NOT CONNECTED TO MAJOR ROADS!--no place for a lot of trafic to go! The end that is connected to the Mass Pike(another longstanding...

Do hood supports give warning before they die?

The hood supports on my '94 Intrepid won't support the hood below 30 degrees--work fine above that....gotta expect these things at 287300 miles.....:D

Laser eye surgery - who here would have it done?

Golden Tiger---change from plastic to glass lenses---the index of refraction for the plastic causes it to spread light like a prism---I just have glass lenses now, got tired of looking at the moon at night and seeing it patriotic! (red one, white one, blue one...)

The dear wife is allergic to this planet. I just get a stuffy nose for a few weeks and that is the extent of it. The wife on the other hand goes into severe asthma from just about everything--she is even allergic to acetaminophen (Tylanol)--boy does that cause heads to turn when I have to drag...

Just replaced my first toilet!!

Great--something I can look forward to. The Dear Son dropped one of Momofone's hair clips down the commode--now it flushes extreamly slowly and the only thing that leaves is liquid, IYKWIM.... My best guess is it is still somewhere between the bowl and the seal, because I can't get the snake...

Different quality fondue sets..... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!

Every year, we travel to the Dreaded Mother-in-Law's for one of the few days she cooks---Christmas eve is the meat and cheese fondue---hot oil for the meat, and the bread and cheese fondue on the other side. A strange custom, for sure, but yummy!

I need a new Refrigerator....Who makes the best ?

Best way to find a good fridge---pick size, open door of all that are the correct size, choose the one with the little arrow on the yellow tag furthest to the left. It won't be the cheapest, but it will be the best insulated. Less to worry about when the rolling blackouts come by....

Just to drive me crazy, now the fonts are not changing color after the thread is read. Nothing was changed, and IE IS set to change the color. Any idea what is causeing this?

Fraternity members thought the breakfast of champs was warm beer and hydrox. I start the day with a single-serve sized 32oz iced tea (iced coffee on the weekends...). It really gets me going, one way or another.......
